System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.19042-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 497.09

Blender Version
Broken: version: 3.1.0, branch: master, commit date: 2022-03-08 18:16, hash: c77597cd0e
Worked:

Short description of error
When you duplicate a camera and set it to active in the outliner, a locked to camera viewport will still be locked to the old camera, and the UI isn't obvious on how to change this.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Set a viewport to a camera via the visible camera button and lock it to it via the hidden N menu.
  2. Duplicate the camera via another viewport.
  3. Set the duplicated camera to active.

Result:
Viewport is still locked to the old camera. Unlocking and locking it again doesn't move it to the active camera.

Expected: Since the "lock camera to viewport" doesn't mention which camera, it's expected to be the active.

There's no list of cameras to choose from when it comes to toggling camera views and locking. There is a local camera option, but then what's the reason for having an active camera?

I either don't understand the steps or I'm not experiencing the same issue as you.
Are you able to provide a video show casing what you're doing and the issue you're experiencing? Or maybe explain the steps in more detail with screenshots at certain points?

If another triager wants to test this report and understands the report better than me, feel free to do so.
