Short description of error
EXR lost passes data, when TIFF was saved in the same directory
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
I rendered .exr sequence of an animation in a folder, then rendered just the background as .tiff in the same folder. It worked in after effects right away, but the next day when I was about to resume the project i started getting weird black frames in AE. At first I thought its a gpu issue, but when i checked the frames individually in Photoshop I noticed that it took data from the background, which is just a white studio background, and was missing the combined pass. Idk what the problem is, i tried googling, but nothing...

Please share your example .blend file where this happens (with exact steps to reproduce the issue)
I can only post the images now, cuz i am rendering at the moment. To reproduce the issue try rendering exr with passes, then render tiff in the same directory as exr. I was in a hurry, so forgot to change the tiff name so it remained the same as exr (just the extension or format is different), but did not think it would be a problem. My HDD is full of jpegs, pngs, tiffs, etc. with the same name and never did it make a problem.
Still .blend file would be good (just ensures we are all on the same page)
e.g. does this use

Could you also check the
Saving File Extensions
option in the render tab of the specific scene. This could perhaps influence this as intended behavior.Changed status from 'Needs User Info' to: 'Archived'
