Color attributes difference between vertexpaint and sculpt modes

Can confirm the behavior, I assume this is a colorspace issue, @JulienKaspar , @JosephEagar ?
Eventually (after a couple of strokes on top of each other) we reach pure black, but in sculpmode with the paint tool there this can be done with a single stroke.
Also note that
Set Vertex Colors
in vertex paint mode is immediate (as is using a brush with a constant falloff)Color attributes not respondingto Color attributes difference between vertexpaint and sculpt modesI can also reproduce this. Interestingly if the color attribute is converted to a Byte Color data type then it works as expected.
So this is only an issue when painting float colors in vertex paint mode.
@JosephEagar would be great if you can look into this.
