In scenes with many scattered objects, there is a huge difference in performance when in cycles rendered viewport, camera view vs perspective view.
Usually, I think the best way to view such scene, with a lot of scattered objects, is through cycles, with the overlay and gizmos turned off (gpu) as it´s less lag compared to solid view . But, if I switch from perspective to camera view it gets as laggy as if with overlay on/solid shade.
I´m not sure if this is a bug or a limitation but, Sins the perspective view and cam view is visually identical I report this as it would be a lot easier to be able to interactively work in camera view.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Open the attached file and set both perspective view and camera view to rendered se the difference in performance.
note: If you use a
Realize Instances
node just before outputting the geometry, the lag goes awayBug_Slow_Camera_VS_Perspective.blend

Looks like this is actually the geometry nodes modifier being calculated.

Will confirm for now (since I cant make sense of it atm).
