NOTE: This is a temporary task to collect and discuss various unfinished revisions and prototypes that are missing from the workboard.
These will be further discussed in the module soon and either archived or revived into new design or to do tasks.

Missing approval

These revisions just never got through review. We should review them again and commit.

  • D9653 Sculpt: Elastic Transform.
  • D7080 Sculpt: Split plane offset into base and offset
  • D8069 Edit Voxel Size: Clamp the text position to the viewport bounds when not visible
  • D6497 Sculpt: Update brush defaults
  • D11006 Fix sculpt connected components tagging hidden geometry wrong
  • D6830 Sculpt: Default brush presets and reset all operator

Unfinished fixes

These fix important issues. They should be picked up again and finished.

  • D12263 Fix #90743: Face Set boundary automasking artifacts with Draw Face Sets
  • D8104 [WIP] Sculpt Vertex Colors: Multires support
  • D8558 Fix EEVEE not using the PBVH for rendering in Sculpt Mode
  • D9522 Sculpt: Add UVs to PBVH_FACES rendering
  • D8175 Sculpt/Paint: Use different properties for alpha and sculpt strength

Unfinished features

These features were almost done or blocked by other in progress tasks. It might be good to revisit them or create to do tasks.

  • D8925 Sculpt: Make Subsuft Modifier use the On Cage option
  • D9571 [WIP] Sculpt: Plane Trim Brush
  • D6603 Sculpt: Enable size/pressure in Grab Brush
  • D7582 Multires: Delete Lower
  • D5697 Texture paint: 2D painting improvements
  • D7644 Multires: Option to not refit the base mesh when using Apply Base
  • D9385 Sculpt: Dyntopo detail aware smoothing

A lot of the existing long term design & to do tasks are being transitioned to the module wiki where they can be further edited and discussed.
Going forward we should make sure that only actively developed tasks are taking up space on the workboard.

This task was a useful reference but can now be closed.
