Thanks for the report. I'm able to reproduce this in your file but not sure how to reproduce it from crash.
I suspect the changes you've made in your startup file are causing this.
Do you get same error with factory settings?: {nav File > Defaults > Load Factory Settings}
Can you shar that file?
Changed status from 'Needs Triage' to: 'Needs User Info'
Thanks!
I don't get this error from default startup scene, only when I open my old scene from 3.1. (even from Load Factory Setting)
I can copy and paste into new scene to avoid this, but I am hoping there's a fix on this.
also default start up scene in 3.2 if I open in 3.1 I get similar issue
cheers

Hello!
I also have this error when I open any of my projects in Blender 3.2.
And a bunch of others like:
Tool 'builtin.circle' not found for space 'VIEW_3D'
Tool 'builtin.select_box' not found for space 'VIEW_3D'
Tool 'builtin_brush.Push' not found for space 'VIEW_3D'
Tool 'builtin_brush.Weight' not found for space 'VIEW_3D'
Tool 'builtin_brush.Draw' not found for space 'VIEW_3D'
I've attached a project from which I removed everything and added a GreasePencil Suzanne object. Just pressing T or N in this project triggers an error. Same when changing Object Mode > to other Modes.
In previous Blender versions up to 3.1.2 everything works fine.
I've tried removing all the addons and reinstalling Blender 3.2 - nothing helps.

I'm also getting a variation of this error when opening a 3.0 file in 3.2.
Tool 'builtin_brush.Comb' not found for space 'VIEW_3D'
I had created a hair particle system in 3.0. The error does not appear in a factory startup file in 3.2. I had re-appended my 3.0 file's models/materials into a new 3.2 file, which circumvented the error, but had accidentally opened/saved subsequent files in 3.0, which just reintroduced the error when opened in 3.2.
Annoying having to do another round of re-appending to a new 3.2 scene to get rid of this error. The error doesn't even make any sense.

I am also getting the "Tool 'builtin_brush.draw' not found for space 'VIEW_3D'"
This is in almost all of my project files, but not in new files. Appending into a new file does solve it, but this really isn't practical for all of my projects, and not for my clients or those who have bought my files! It would be really nice to know what causes this. I assume it is something that I had in an old start file that I used when making most of these projects. If its just some unused data block or something then I can just delete that. I'm not noticing anything wrong with using the files themselves. But the constant error spam is annoying!
**UPDATE:**After some troubleshooting, I think I've found the culprit. When opening the problem files, there is no tool selected in the T panel. Once I select one, the error spam stops. I assume there was some tool that was removed that I had selected before?
Thanks for the info, selecting any of the tools really does fix the errors! I have to select the tool in every mode (Edit Mode, Draw Mode, Sculpt Mode etc.) and then it works as expected.
Unfortunately this problem is still in the new 3.2.1 version.
