Mulitres: Grab brush + 'Grab Active Vertex' option seems not intuitive or broken 3.2
Confirmed, NormalPublicBUG

Description

System Information
Operating system: Windows-11-10.0.22000-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 512.95

Blender Version
Broken: version: 3.2.0, branch: master, commit date: 2022-06-08 10:22, hash: rBe05e1e369187
Worked: (In 3.1 sort of?)

Short description of error
I am not sure if its a bug but here we go:
When you add a mulitres modifier to an object and try to sculpt on it with the grab brush it works.
If you enable Grab active vertex in the Brush settings it looks broken to me. Even in 3.1 the vertex are displaced from the original and impossible to grab.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Start blender
  2. Add a sphere
  3. Add a multires on lvl 1 or 2
  4. Using the grab brush in sculpt mode works until you enable the grab active vertex option.

The blend file has the setup just try in sculpt mode the grab brush and the options.

On a side note the bug report said win 10 but i run win 11. It seems not to recognized my system.

Germano Cavalcante (mano-wii) changed the task status from Needs Triage to Confirmed.Jun 14 2022, 5:30 PM
Germano Cavalcante (mano-wii) changed the subtype of this task from "Report" to "Bug".

It looks like a bug in this case as the problem only happens with Multires.
The Grab Active Vertex option apparently only works on "real geometry", according to the manual https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/3.3/sculpt_paint/sculpting/tools/grab.html#brush-settings
But apparently the real geometry is altered in this case.

Germano Cavalcante (mano-wii) renamed this task from Grab brush (Grap active vertex options) seems not intuitive or broken 3.2 to Mulitres: Grab brush + 'Grab Active Vertex' option seems not intuitive or broken 3.2.Jun 14 2022, 5:31 PM

Might be related to this bug? https://developer.blender.org/T95665 Its in the same menu. Someone at the blenderartist forum pointed that out. Also its the same in 2.93.
