Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.19044-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 511.79

Short description of error
The "Sync Visible Range" options in timeline does not affect the timeline on other windows.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

Open the Blender 3.2.0

Load the default startup file. (File > Defaults > Load Factory Settings)

Open a new window by going to "Window > New Window".

Change the "Editor type" in the new window to a timeline.

Enable the "Sync visible Range" options in the timeline of both Windows. (View > Sync Visible Range)

Move a timeline in the horizontal axis.

Can confirm. It only works as expected in Timeline & Dope Sheet, but is broken everywhere else.
Btw. when sidebars and panels were implemented, the "Sync Visible Range" function wasn't updated to take those changes into account.

My report wasn't really considering anything other than Dope sheet, timeline & graph editor not working in another window, but I guess this can be added.

The report I said was that synchronization isn't working at all between windows, even if the editor in question works together (Like two timeline for example)4297_blender_IyO1kPLsxX.mp4

From what I can see, the code is designed to handle sync within same window. I can see it working with VSE though, but if it doesn't, I think that should be separate report.

This could be specified in manual or tooltip so will confirm.

So is it supposed to be able to sync betweens windows too or it's really a bug that will eventually be fixed?

I am not sure if it's easy to implement or even desirable to sync between 2 windows. Ultimately it seems it was never intended to do that, so for me the issue is, that it's not explained anywhere to user.

Developers in particular area may see this differently though.

I see.
Well, then I guess I'll wait for an addon to pop up that does just that. I don't really have much other choice.
