Benchmark: Add benchmarking for Eevee viewport #99136

Idea is to extend /tests/performance to record viewport drawing performance.

Add tests/performance/tests/workbench.py / test/performance/tests/eevee.py.

  • When switching to eevee we should wait until all shaders have been compiled, before we start recording.
  • We should record the average time per frame.
  • Scene itself should already be prepared

A collection of tests could be added to SVN benchmark repository (https://developer.blender.org/diffusion/BL/browse/trunk/lib/benchmarks/)

NOTE: there is already an animation performance test, looking at it it only addresses depsgraph updates, but ignores the drawing part.

The trick would be to run a script in the background and exit when finished.

  • When starting blender add a frame changed handler and start the animation playback.
  • In the frame change handler check if all shaders have been compiled if so mark that as the start time and start frame.
  • Run for some frames/time to mark the end and the amount of drawn frames.
  • print the result to the console
  • exit blender.
