System Information
Operating system: macOS-12.4-arm64-arm-64bit 64 Bits
Graphics card: Apple M1 Apple 4.1 Metal - 76.3

Blender Version
Broken: version: 3.2.0, branch: master, commit date: 2022-06-08 10:22, hash: e05e1e3691
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)

Short description of error
Can't access external harddisk in fileview.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
I have Blender installed on an external harddisk. But after installing OSX12.4 I can't acces my external harddisk from within Blender. Tried multiple versions. Tried installing on the internal harddisk. Deleted en reinstalled multiple times but the issue remains. Doesn't matter if it is in the default startup or an older blend file.

Maybe it is a permission issue? Can you check if giving enough permission to Blender solves the issue? https://discussions.apple.com/thread/253684521?answerId=253684521021#253684521021

In the link you provided it stated the following steps:

  • Open System Preferences.
  • In System Preferences, select Security and Privacy -> Privacy, then select "Files and Folders".
  • If the app appears in the list, and if the checkbox appears, make sure that the box is checked for Removable Volumes.
  • If step 3 isn't possible, select the Full Disk Access category, and add the app to that list.

Although Blender had permission for Removable Volumes, the last step seemed to have fixed the issue.
So I gave Blender Full Disk Acces and I can acces the Harddisk again. Thanks!!
