Well i set max sub divs to 0, the. I set the dicing scale to 8 (same as preview), and it still comsumed up to 16gb on avg, do i just need to reduce everything more or what?

Actually, the issue seems resolved already...
So we now do get updates when rendering in cycles if eevee material output is selected, but changes are made in nodes that are connected to the 'designated' cycles output node...

@Brecht Van Lommel (brecht) I was able to work on implementing some backwards compatibility logic in version_update.py and now I need to work on integrating the above changes into Eevee, as you had mentioned. Where would I start to look into making changes for Eevee?

The GTX560 came out in 2011, i wouldn't call it 'new' programs compiled with cuda8 (or earlier) will continue to work on this card, so the official 2.79b release will continue working, any releases going forward (including the nightly builds) are done with cuda 9.1 or 10 which no longer supports generating kernels for this card.

According to the FFmpeg documentation DivX doesn't support the crf parameter we're using. Instead, it'll have to use the qscale parameter.

Problem is that I can fix this as a side effect by D3934: VSE cache with frame prefetching (WIP)
I waiting for design review. Will try to push this, but it's still not 100% done from my side.

FYI: I use one of my production files for this test and a camera bind is at the beginning, so when this is fixed I will be able to continue rendering out the project and possibly find more bugs.
