@Julian Eisel (Severin), it's all SVG. The node icons are just in that file but aren't part of this task, but I'll change the color scheme.

I don't see why we would have to rush this too much, replacing an icon is a minor change that can be done in Bcon3 too (@Campbell Barton (campbellbarton), you agree?).

@Antonio Vazquez (antoniov) I believe that will need to be manually merged, but you'll only need to copy/paste the changed icons (so it won't be a giant mess.)

I don't know if this is relevant but avoid any conflict, I inform you I have created a new outliner icon for new grease pencil object using icon_120 with OUTLINER_OB_GPENCIL name.

I think Alt 3 is correct although compared to the initial icons, the outline should be brown, not black or gray.
Anyway I added a couple of proposals adjusted to the style of the icons of Blender.
My vote is for Alt 5 :)

Those are icons I changed for myself, and they look quite different compared to what's currently in Blender. I'm fine with them being added at the same time, but I'd like to get more feedback first.

hi, I think time is short to get this done.
The icons should be removed if we cannot find suitable replacements. Currently the duplicate icons look unprofessional.
As the two menu's are at the last slots on the menu, this has less impact on the menu & at least removes the wrongly assigned icons.
If we get the icons replaced suitably in time for 2.79 release, it would be great.

For me the last alternative you have outlined is good, although it is radial the circle is not closed and can be interpreted as general. I leave some ideas, I personally like the arm, shape is complex but the silhouette is very recognizable, on the other hand it is generic and because it is also in WhatsApp the association is also fast. The boxing glove looks like a cloud.

I didn't want to use the Force Point icon because it's a specific kind of force, while the other icons show the object data, not any particular kind of object. I'll try out the recolored Force Point icon, as well as the "waves" concept you've made.

The group icon is fine. For the force icon I would take the one from Force, and change colors to the orange ones like the rest of the icons in the add menu. Alternatively it can be a little sphere with arrows going out of it in the top bottom left right directions, or something like:

Works for me after updating lib/darwin-9.x.universal, previously pointed to /usr/local/bin/python3.5, now to the one distributed with Blender. So assuming this can be closed.

Majority of the changes are related on the cubemap support in gpu/. While i can't spot something bad in particular and don't see other way to do it, it still makes sense to pose some related guys here like @Mike Erwin (merwin) and @Campbell Barton (campbellbarton) perhaps.

@Sergey Sharybin (sergey) checked this patch. Since the last review by @Antony Riakiotakis (psy-fi) the code got just minor modifications. So I think that it makes no sense to bother the developers anymore.

This patch is designed to affect only the texture and leave the rest as is.
I have already argued how "* Sky" options behave:
"Real Sky, Blend Sky and Paper Sky options just terrible. There is no clear understanding how they should work and they works differently for viewport and BI, in some cases even not matching documentation for both engines. And perhaps even some of them mutually exclusive. Thus their work is left as is. In the future, the interface and behavior must be completely reviewed."
As these changes are taking place in the 2.7 branch, the work in this direction should lead us to less regression. So I suggest to find what was broken by this patch. Then continue to work on all other shortcomings and solve it separately. And it is also important to find a regression in BI, not only Viewport. Note that the picture could be different for BI and Viewport. And this will be future work to find accordance between them.

Looks like feedback so far has been addressed, I just went over and noted some real minor issues. Otherwise seems this is ready for master.

(The cubemap textures have to be unloaded and reloaded/the shader too after...).

Hi! I didn't know that you wanted to include realtime cubemap reflections in the viewport. That's very cool :) About that, I asked HG1 about the little shader I wrote to make cubemap relections (taken from here: https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/GLSL_Programming/Blender/Reflecting_Surfaces) and he made some remarks to optimize it: http://www.pasteall.org/63624 ... In the case you are interested... And there is also a bug with the little piece of code I made when you switch beetween solid/textured mode (The cubemap textures have to be unloaded and reloaded/the shader too after...).

Hi! Thanks very much for this patch! I used it to have cubemap reflections in the viewport (https://youtu.be/jbFFyU28Py8, http://www.pasteall.org/63559/diff (patch compatible with upbge sources. Surely needs clean ups and it's a bit buggy for the moment :)), http://www.pasteall.org/blend/40174)
