I've found the "Cycles" string used for the render engine name is still used as the name of the Cycles F-Modifier, displayed in the UI when you add one of those.

I know that this is not a high-priority task, but still think we should consider it at some point. It would also be nice to be able to refer to it when closing related bug reports we keep getting (like lastest one, T67438: Error Font), and as a basis if someone volunteers to work on it. Might even make a nice GSoC project?

Please do not remove BF Blender from i18n tasks, this is part of it! ;)
Volume at Sidebar --> Adjust --> Sound panel Should be displayed as 音量 in Chinese, but it is 体积 (the amount of space that some entity contains or occupies).
I know there is a separate item for the loudness of sound in the .po file.
So I guess this "Volume" is just not in the right context. Could someone fix this?

Issue happens because that info is often generated by worker threads (instead of main one used by UI code), and boost i18n code does not work well from threads (here it just return unstranslated string it'd seem).

Am gonna do that for now, I really do not see how to make fstrings work nicely with translations currently…
We could avoid f-strings for text which needs to be translated if this complicates things too much.

@Campbell Barton (campbellbarton) this will generate an ast.JoinedStr (containing a list of regular ast.Str and ast.FormattedValue objects). Thing is, I don’t think we can properly translate this in any way, since bpy API will only get the already processed string, which obviously does not exist in translations…
We could try invoking explicitly the pgettext function there, but am pretty sure that would break the fstring too (as this has to be parsed together with the whole py code at load time)? And in any case, it would be super-ugly…
More like a missing update, we did not use those f-strings before… Guess I'll have to dust off my AST again to add support for those.

@liveasx As for your “Team or Person” concern, I have to clarify that we have a voluntary translation team for manual and UI maintenance.
A sticky post have been here for bug report and user feedback.
Nevertheless, patch submission is a more appreciated way to improve the UI translation.
But I think you should pay more attention to quality of your patch(a totally mess in your patch, review progress still at 1/7) and the way you express yourself(your vulgar words above).
For example, clip in clip Alpha means cut(截断), not movie clip(剪辑).

This last (impolite) comment from Asx appears to be pointing out character glyphs there are missing from the font he is using. I wonder if some confusion is the basis for this (heated) discussion,

@Bastien Montagne (mont29) zdy (NGENNGT) is not a team, just a personal, the Chinese translation is very very bad, I give Blend a little contribution.. I have fixed a lot of translations and added a lot. I feel that they are hindering the development of chinese in Blender!

@liveasx I do not read Chinese (as a side note to everyone, communicating in English is required on this site, so that everybody can follow), but for what I can see here, you are not behaving properly. @zdy (NGENNGT) and his team have been working on this translation for several years already, and they are responsible for it currently as far as I am concerned.

This submitted patch has been sent out directly by deleting the fuzzy translate items in many places.
The translation of an interface is not one man works.

"Axis" string is sometimes used as a plural word. (Should be "Axes" in such cases).

Currently (as of hash: rB0ee75698d05e downloaded today) the tooltips (showing both tool name and description) for the Tools icons in the 3D View are showing untranslated.
I remember I have translated strings for the tools names and tooltips, but they are not showing there.

Considering it works on windows for you means its not something on the server side, at the same time, im not sure why this is failing for you. Maybe try to clear previously-saved credentials, by deleting ~/.subversion/auth

Authentication fails, same authentication I use on Windows, it works there.
