Without nice readable report, we can't go forward.... sorry!!!
Sorry! Without enough info we can do nothing...
@Aishwarya tamil selvan (Alpsmevelo1) Please, edit your report and provide info From Blender :: Help -> Report A Bug
IMO, can't say what is happening...
Try with, File -> Load Factory Setting. To see, is not you have conflict key-map?
Another thing, I think, it's not best why as you search by key-word search. As it can be possible F3 key is binned to an other task...
Thanks, for reporting back. As no bug/error, closing then. Feels free to re-open or comment, when something happens.
IMHO, it's bug or not...
Blender 2.81 (sub 4) 2019-08-31 17:53 rB883706395ee3
Same performance issue with Auto Depth (Preferences -> Navigate) & Look Dev mode enable
Thanks! For reporting back. Glad it solves you!!!
Hum! Attribute dp_wetmap causing crash...
Can't find attribute, on other place, maybe cause of crash...
Note: If you remove text dp_wetmap, no crash at all
error on crashing:
Error : EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION Address : 0x00007FF79E9C8EA3 Module : C:\Users\MaqboolStudio-PC\Downloads\Compressed\blender-2.81-883706395ee3-win64\blender-2.81.0-git.883706395ee3-windows64\blender.exe
Note: Seems, material causes crash (when remove no crash):
Here fine, Blender 2.81 (sub 4) 2019-08-31 17:53 rB883706395ee3
IMO, Not looks like bug/error...
@Dariusz (Dellishia) Please, more clarify prob...
Also provide screen-shot, How it looks like, as asked...
Before Crashing, Console generate error:
Error : EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION Address : 0x00007FF79E9CB412 Module : C:\Users\MaqboolStudio-PC\Downloads\Compressed\blender-2.81-6726e98fe2a6-win64\blender-2.81.0-git.6726e98fe2a6-windows64\blender.exe
Glad to see! Your problem solved! Thanks...
@Thawan de Souza Camara (MildRedPanda) Try, & Let we know!
- Update your GPU drivers
- Try with File -> Defaults -> Load Factory Settings
- Try Latest build: https://builder.blender.org/download/
@Naoki Mochizuki (tamaki_py) Hum! That's was pretty interesting q!
It's because, in Edit Mode, triangle is already scale of 0, so it's looks like a point.
You can select Point-by-Point and try to drag...e.g.
Hope, it's helps you..
Aug 31 2019
IMHO, Not a bug/error!
@Naoki Mochizuki (tamaki_py) I think, no need to enter Edit Mode you should edit shape in Object Mode
Thanks for reporting back!
Sorry! As no bug/error... So by bugs tracker rule it's invalid. Anyway thanks for reporting
@William Reynish (billreynish) @Philipp Oeser (lichtwerk) Here is a confusion! After re-loading, Object goes to it's location stored in key-frame (not which is temporary in Veiwport), Is this expected behavior?
In order to move w.eye.line.001, I needed to FIRST go into edit mode (going to edit mode after moving this plane results in the same problem), then press the "G" key to move it wherever I wanted, then left/right click to save. Next, I saved the file in edit mode, reloaded the file, and the w.eye.line.001 was saved to the new location I chose.
It's because, object w.eye.line.001 have a key-frame and after reloading file, it's goes to original location of key-frame, so you see it's on an-other location.
IMO, not a bug!
It's how Surface Deform Modifier works (target must be not concave)
Just check file... Blender 2.81 (sub 4) 2019-08-30 19:33 rB6726e98fe2a6
@Javier Hernandez (xfjhdzz) Please, provide simplest possible file which produce error.
Provide exact steps to produce crash.
Without enough info we can do nothing! Sorry!!!
@Michael (BlenderGenius) Can you provide exacts steps? By using them we can reproduce bug/error.
Provide simplest possible file which produce error/bug..
I can confirm bug/error...
Aug 30 2019
IMO, what you want to say?
Face -> Extrude Individual Faces is working, as expected:
e.g. Performed on UV Sphere
Others are working too fine..
Looks like whole file is out-of-order!
@Facundo (Facu_FX) Can you please! Provide some more info?
- File is totally made in Blender 2.80 stable, or you open some previous file and just start working (fully/partially)?
- From where you appended the file? Can you provide that's file too?
- Can you reproduce the bug/error again? What are exact steps?
Thanks for your time! Have a nice day!
Hum! Can confirm, problem is exists there...
Trying to re-produce & find causes.
Not a bug though!
@Hamza Amin (hamzaamin) Here:
Please! Other channels for support e.g. https://blender.chat/channel/support
IMO, It's Bug/Not, looking very odd to me!
Even latest version: Blender 2.81 (sub 4) 2019-08-28 20:33 rBa7ac8a22f8eb
When you want to select (Object Mode) All object will be selected which are in Range (Box, Circle, Lasso Selection) even behind of some other object
@Diego Bittencourt (diego_mb) Try to understand... but... even played with file...
Please clarify prob some more, maybe pictorial why can helps a lot in this case...
Thanks in advanced! Have a nice day!!!
IMO, not a bug/error!
@Rigoletto Eikenberg (rigoletto) Overlays ->Measurement -> Edge Length only show length of selected edge:
As tool-tip says:
Looks like, problem is with user's system (Blender)!
@Taylor Henson (authintix) Can you please! Try in same file, by making another rig?
Then try to Generate Rig Is work for you? (mine is working)
If you got same error, then please!
Try with Load Factory Setting, Enable Rigify...
Let we know!!!
@shane (beertv) Please download addon form: https://bitbucket.org/Diffeomorphic/mhx2-makehuman-exchange/downloads/
& follow there instructions
- Extract zip file
- Go inside of extracted folder
- Make archive(.zip) to import_runtime_mhx2
- & simply load import_runtime_mhx2.zip form Blender
Let we know, it's working for me...
@shane (beertv) Ah! This is a bug tracker, not a support channel!
Looks like you addon is not updated for 2.8 yet.
Try on makeahuman site, if updated addon is available, or request one, form official site (2.7 addons not works in 2.8 anymore)
Note: Community support: https://blender.chat/channel/support
Thanks, Have a nice day
IMO, Not looks like a bug...
I think, Rotation To Deltas works just like this. as tool-tip saying:
- Rotate Cube -> Z Axis -> 45d
- Convert to Quaternion
- Note values there (will be added with Rotation To Deltas):
- Ctrl + A Apply -> Rotation To Deltas
Values are added up to existing transform (cube) & reset to defaults in text-fields
@Juan (jc4d) Hum! Here is fine..
Maybe you are using customized them?
Same in 2.8 & 2.81...
Can you please! Confirm by File -> Defaults -> Load Factory Setting!
@Adler Romero (aefoundry) Hum maybe...
I think, sculpt branch is under development stages, bugs/crash can exists..
But without enough info, we can do nothing... Sorry!
@Arbaz Arif (AcidRain0) Please! Can you try with Load Factory Settings:
Then try to open User Preferences, & let we know... Thanks
@Zino Guerr (Zino) Blender p-point/origin is where all the transform are counted, effects physics sim too...
Child's inherit form this point, too.
In other software, mostly transform is counted globally & locally, both. Currently in Blender Only Local Transform (form parent) is available.
wiggly effect I think, it's not yet stable.. currently under development..
Hum, But it's very confusion behavior...
Or at least it must be default.
For example, when you apply Ritht Click -> Set Origin -> Orion To 3d Cursor
for parent object, child's origin/mesh not effected (this must be consistent all across Blender)
However, currently when same action is performed with Pivot Point -> Affects Only -> Origins
Which is totally un-necessary, as can i imagine...
or we have to enable too Parents (Skip children) to prevent this
@Philipp Oeser (lichtwerk) , @William Reynish (billreynish) ???
Aug 29 2019
@Philipp Oeser (lichtwerk) Hope this will helps to understand the prob.
@Philipp Oeser (lichtwerk) I 'am sorry, I am too late to reply (as just read now)!
Ah! I think, i miss understand the report, the prob was more like a Parent Origin effects Child (un-expacted)
I think, Close as invalid as totally miss-understanding!
@Jesús (TheFJS14) Try to update your graphics drivers! & Let we know!
Edit report and follow sample from Blender -> Help -> Report A Bug:
Provide Simplest Possible File which will produce error...
IMO, It's bugs or not!
But want to puts some light on it (no worry about, torch will be mine!!!).
IMO, not looks like any bug/error here...
Rather a performance issue with Blender that currently Blender 2.8 is facing, especially Undo/Redo operation, Sub-Surface Modifier & Maybe Sculpting too
@Dalibor (Dasti) However, Please provide full system info:
Simply Edit your Report & follow template by Blender -> Help -> Report A Bug:
& Please Attach file generated by Help -> Save System Info
Without complete info we could do nothing, please attach a simplest possible .blend file (which will produce bug/error) as @Marcin Twarowski (Tvaroog) asked...
Maybe your objects are too large/small then Viewport Clipping Region, you can always press Shift + C which center view, 3d Cursor and many Viewport related problem (zooming)
Note: Best community supports: https://blender.chat/channel/support (this is more like a bugs tracker) thanks!
In some cases, it's could be useful, e.g. when you are working with Laptop's -> Trackpad, whether it's Node Editor, 3d Viewport...or whatever..
IMO, In this why not a bug (useful feature already even in Node Editor)
Note: Most of the time it's checked (default)
@rob (blenderpedia) Hum! It's because, probably your mesh is too complex for poor Blender!!!
After Selecting whole Mesh (Ctrl + A) then applying Alt + N (Normals) -> Recalculate Outside Fix the issue...
@rob (blenderpedia) Please! Provide simplest possible file which will produce bug/error.
Normally Bevel edges Ctrl + B seems working fine...
Seems fixed in 2.81 (until now)... Can be closed!
Looks like, User have not right privileges to access location...
@kishore (kranthikishoregajula) Please! You can try with running Blender.exe with Administrator Privileges?
Let we know, after if Blender runs?
Possible Duplicate: T54978 T52064 T44334
I think, your other report T69260 same problem (as you not clear until now)
Note: You can edit report if needed...
In mine case seems fine, no such a prob...
@Abdulrahman Ashraf (abdoashraf844) Make sure you are not extracting .zip to old project, means extract to some free space...
Provide, simplest possible file, which can produce problem
In extracted Blender (already), try with File -> External Data -> Load Factory Setting to know, prob exists after this operation?
let we know, thanks
Please! Try update driver & let we know...
Possible duplicate: T69233 T65138 T68527 T68217 T67951 T67085
Note: Please! Always search previous reports...
Some tips: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTD0OJq_rF4
Have a nice day! Thanks..
IMO, due to un-supported graphics card / drivers causes problem. Many such reports are here...
@Pavel Duong (vignette) Try updating GPU drivers may resolve problem. Thanks
@acira (acira) Without enough info, we can do nothing! Sorry!...
Maybe you have no permission on that's folder, means can be read only ...
@Russell Vaught (rsvaught) I think, such a very very long report is not a best practice, developers can't understand the problem quickly or say it takes long then properly formatted report.
Please Edit Report, follow report pattern by Blender's Help -> Report A Bug
You can simply attach files for others info, e.g. System info, log file, errors or whatever you want to give info
Thanks for you time...
Note: Take a look at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTD0OJq_rF4 will helps a lot
Aug 28 2019
Hum! In mine case no crash at all, however, it's becomes black & have to switch to Object Mode
Without complete info, we can do nothing! sorry!....
@kishore (kranthikishoregajula) Edit report and follow template: Right form Blender Help -> Report A Bug
Please give enough info, so we can understand your prob. thanks
Hum! Blender 2.81 (sub 3) 2019-08-28 03:44 rBf88022b96f3a seems fine for me!
I think, It's already resolved in latest blender version
@Alex (Fluffyrescent) You can confirm in latest daily build! https://builder.blender.org/download/
In Blender 2.80 stable can confirm bug/error
Same Proposed Steps:
- Add Curve Object (e.g. Bezier Curve)
- Add Mesh Object (e.g. Cube)
- Select Mesh then Curve (important step) (I think @Alex (Fluffyrescent) forget this step)
- Ctrl + P Parent -> Vertex
- Enter Edit Mode & Select a vertex of Curve
- Apply Ctrl + H Hooks -> Hook to Selected Object
Not a bugs though...
In Blender Dimension & Scales both effects proportionally when you modify one of them
Latter (when you really need it e.g. before using modifiers) you can apply scales which sets the scale back to 1 (same for all transforms)
In Viewport press Ctrl + A to access menu:
Note: For community supports best place: https://blender.community/c/ e.g. https://blender.chat/channel/support

Just to know... Always search previous reports before making new one
You can always search by top-right corner of web:
@Arin Burge (TheCuretoBauhaus) Without enough info, we can't do any....
Please modify your report && follow template pattern get by Blender's Help -> Report A Bug:
@Leo Colombo (leocolombo) Without enough info we could do nothing...
Please modify report & follow template, generated by right inside Blender's Help -> Report A Bug
Confirms system requirements (min) https://www.blender.org/download/requirements/
& Updates your Graphics Drivers
I think, 2.80 seems working..
@ania (an-chu) Can you please, more clarify the issue or provide possible simple files to test?
Just try in latest daily build Blender 2.81 (sub 3) 2019-08-28 03:44 rBf88022b96f3a
Seems Object can be edit (though some prob are there) only animation I think is read only...
After Importing .ABC
@Graham (penga) try in 2.81 too?
Also please sends the screen-shot whit Camera (Prob) and Overlay menu open (where extras exists). like the one shows below:
@Wacky media (Wacky_media82) Please give enough info, so devs can understand & solves prob.
Also modify your report, and strictly follow template generated by Blender:
Can confirm this...
- Pick a simple object, e.g. Grid (Add -> Mesh -> Grid)
- In Edit Mode, select some vertices
- Slide Vertices (Shift + V)
- Apply some options e.g. Even (E) or Clamp (C)
Redo Panel not effected:
@Philipp Oeser (lichtwerk) Same problem in your provided test file...
However, I think... you were checking in Curves Type Objects...
The proposed problem is more with Surface Type Objects
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.16299 64 Bits
Graphics card: AMD Radeon HD 8400 / R3 Series ATI Technologies Inc. 4.5.13399 Core Profile Context 15.200.1065.0
IMO, not a bug...
As Brick Texture works as this (Z/W... can be improvement... if that's matters)
However, something like this can works for you
Seems working fine here...
I think, your Blender version is older (about 8 months ago)
Please checks at Blender 2.8 Stable version https://www.blender.org/download/
Note Makes sure Graphics Drivers are updated
IMO, not a bug...
Affect Only -> Origin effects Origin Point of Objects
& you can't set Origin of Empty Object (currently)
Not only the case with Empty object as Parent of others
that's way with option Affect Only -> Origin you can't do any with Empty Object
Where is the use_connect option...
Please! Always provide enough info so devs can easily understand & directly focus on prob...
Confirm your system meets min requirements https://www.blender.org/download/requirements/
If so, updates Graphics Drivers
@John Paul Anthony G. Dela Cruz (johnpdelacruz26) Please! Don't change the priority until 100% sure... thanks!
Hum! Problem is there but not sure what's causing it...
I think, normals are not causing of it anyway... maybe some complex geometry
IMO, not a bugs though...
Note: For support consider https://blender.community/c/
let we know, you get what you want?
Recommended why is @dark999 (dark999) suggests
However, I think, running installer as Run as Administrator may resolve privileges problem
