Oh, I see, thanks for the info @Jonathan deWerd (jjoonathan), yes, crashes all the time, I am confused about buildbot too..that's why campbell was unable to reproduce the error..I suppose this report can be closed..

this is strange, it happens all the time...try to activate the button to lock the interface while rendering..and then while it renders press the home key.

One thing I really want to change is the simpify option...Why on earth is set by default to 6 subdivisions? if I activate this is because my computer can't handle too much poligons so I expect to be on 1 or 2 max...

Hello, the error is that Shade Smooth while dynamic sculpting is active doesn't work, simply can't smooth the surface unless I enter to edit mode, select all and shade smooth from specials (w key). And yes I'm using buildbot builds, this doesn't happen in official 2.70a, my system specs are:

Ok sorry for the inconvenience, you can close this, my startup file was corrupted in some way so it was causing the strange behaviour, now it's fixed with a new startup...

Hello saltycowdawg I think BF only support official builds, this means, only buildbot or from blender.org...irie is "offcial" but not a BF build so developers will tell you that I've seen it happen here....

Hello, well I think that's really the problem, it only works on the top right-view if you convert that view into a side view (top, bottom, left, right, front, back) you can still rotate as if it was perspective, on the other hand if you try to convert for example the left top view into a perspective view and after that tick the lock views your newly created view is locked even if it's a perspective :(. so in short lock side views only work in the defaults views...

Hello campbell, OK i'll try to explain the expected behaviour. If you turn on Quad view and look into the properties where it says: "Lock view rotations in side view", On my understanding lock side views means that regardless of the actual view selected on the quad view any side view will be locked, but apparently is only working on the default locations, because if you change the top right panel into a side view and then turn on "lock view rotations in side view" it doesn't work as expected you can still rotate your newly created side view, this happen on every view, it only works on the default locations...
