I also tried two objects with two particle systems to emit smoke in the same domain, both in mac and linux and they don't emit smoke.

I have written this patch which I believe may be a possible solution for this problem.
I share the code if you want to take a look at it.

In QtCreator, Pycharm, and in most ides/editors use a green play icon.
I think it may look great in green, so it's more easily recognizable at a glance. And more familiar to most developers.

I agree with @Brecht Van Lommel (brecht), I think you shouldn't sacrifice an efficient way of working just to have a box select.

This continues to happen in the new blender 2.80 3b8ae2c08f5c
When you create a cube and fill it with particles in volume mode and with grid distribution, a diagonal row is missing, if you invert the grid only this row appears.

And why does it work on the Italian keyboard?

My proposal on the behavior of the pie menu when releasing the key is already done, now just wait and know if you finally like the idea of including it optionally in the preferences of blender.

Exactly that's what I mean, and I think it's pretty annoying, especially when you accidentally press and you're forced to click out of the options or give escape to remove the menu. Thank you for understanding me.
If you just click in the center of the pie menu it closes.
I had understood quite another thing: the functionality that if you keep the shortcut pressed and move the cursor, the functionality is automatically activated when the shortcut is released ... (and consequently, if you release the shortcut without moving the cursor the pie menu vanishes without any other function being activated)
but since my stupid laptop does not allow me to check this functionality due to the pad lock, can you confirm if it works like that already or not?
@William Reynish (billreynish) I can confirm what Amon said, there are strange behaviours with laptop pads and pie menus, if mapped to a single key or to shift+key the cursor gets locked.
About zebus' post in right click select, he probably talks about what happens if you press the key without immediately move your mouse, in that case the pie menu doesn't disappear on release.
Sep 23 2018
Zebus: That is also the case. If you move your mouse cursor to an area which doesn't invoke anything and release, the pie menu is dismissed.
Amon: That is already the case. If you hover over an item and release they key, the pie menu item is accepted.

It is possible to put the sapling settings on a panel that is not so easy to lose sight of.
If I had uvs or textures I would use it for a project in production.
Jul 19 2018
Is it possible to make the sapling settings not be in the recently used tools panel, is it very easy to unintentionally do any other action and lose the configuration panel?. Is there a possibility that the trunks have uvs and/or textures?

a generic sprocket icon for the buttons where you choose the type of panel I think could help to be more intuitive

With the new flat style icons you might also look better on tabs that are desaturated and only the active tab has color in the icon.
I fully agree that the property tabs will look better vertically but on the right side, as suggested by DIGVIJAY (DJAY) and be able to switch between them with the mouse wheel.
Jun 3 2018
For the industry standard keymap that won't be necessary. You'll just use W, E & R to enable Move, Rotate and Scale tools.

How about the "o" overlay key to hide and unhide the overlays?, and the "p" key could be used for proportional editing. The "o" key is used in nuke just for that purpose too. To insert keyframes it is better to use the "k" key and thus be able to use the "s" key for separate objects in edit mode. It seems much more logical to me that way, bearing in mind that the scaling key is now the'r' key.

For recreate the "Bug" i have wrote an little addon script.
I'm not sure if it's a bug. Maybe I'm doing the bad practice of calling an operator inside a draw function. Maybe the whole problem comes from there.
