We need specific steps to reproduce the problem, there's not much we can do in a report like this.
Maybe some user will find the reason for the bug and report it in the future.
But for now this one will be closed.

I also have issues with custom modifier keys. Namely "spacebar". For instance if I have a hotkey assigned to "spacebar R". This doesn't work unless I have deactivated any hotkey that is using "R". The software doesn't register that "spacebar" is putting existing keys into a different modified state.

One point that should definitely be discussed or as a follow up task is color coding for the sockets as you've mentioned in the Maya Bifrost bullet point. New data types will need a color that tells the user which sockets can be connected. With several new data types, especially ones with specific bit length, it could quickly become overloaded if we add a unique color per data type and it would be hard to know what sockets can be connected to each other. However using the same color for data types that can be converted / casted isn't great either, because if you allow connections between data types from higher to lower value range the user will get unintended overflow, wrap-around or clipping of values. Therefore we should also discuss this from the UX perspective.

Germano Cavalcante (mano-wii) raised the priority of T71354: Eevee world volume, unwanted purple tint in viewport only from Needs Information from User to Waiting for Developer to Reproduce.

All these messages are expected, none showed a shader compilation error (from the volume material).
I imagine these error messages are not displayed by MAC systems :\
Let's wait to see if any developers come up with any ideas.

Just saw that commit and I think it's great having more flexibility in regular parenting. This last possibility you mention (inheritance of individual scale values) sounds good as an alternative to setting up copyscale constraints on a long bone chain, and average sounds like it might just be better as default, imho, but I'm hesitant on that tbh - like you say, any rigger should know that decomposition, even that fancy polar one attempted on sheared bones won't really work in any predictable/desirable way, which is why (afaik) non-uniform scaling on a (simply parented) chain is usually either prohibited by the rigger or not attempted by the animator, so... All in all this sounds like a good, thought-through change to me.

Germano Cavalcante (mano-wii) closed T71236: Cloth and Mask Mesh Keyframed resets cloth simulation from the keypoint frame as Archived.

This works by desgin.
The topology has changed and the animation needs to be calculated as if the "new mesh" started the animation from frame 1.
We cannot change current behavior without deep consideration of what needs to be improved.
Currently, it seems, there is no active developer maintaining the cloth physics system (this may change).

If you set Render > Path > Steps to the same as Viewport Display > Strand Steps, then that seems to match.
Pretty sure there is something wrong, this has actually been reported before, see T67700: The Viewport Display setting of Particles affect the Render result with Eevee (shame on me this has been lying around for some time -- needs another look...)

This is indeed working as expected in the code (see call to BKE_animdata_free() in make_object_duplilist_real(), so not a bug. Whether we want a different behavior here is design task, which I'll let to the anim team for handling.

Can confirm that it is working again on my dual e5-2696v3 machine. Autodetect will (as before) only show one node (36 threads in my case) but if i put in 72 manually, it uses all cores/threads. Thanks for fixing!
