@Philipp Oeser (lichtwerk) @dark999 (dark999) Thanks for the tips!

I can confirm that the new version seems to be working. Thanks, @Evan Wilson (EAW) ! I was also able to fix the issue by starting a new .blend file and just appending the Scene from the previous .blend to the new one.

Also, if you could think of any settings I might be able to fiddle with to get my .blend to be useable again, I would greatly appreciate it. Otherwise I'll be forced to recreate the scene again from scratch.

Is there a way of resetting the 3D Cursor using the Industry Compatible Keymap? I tried to do this and couldn't find a way. The search bar didn't return anything, nor did Google, so I eventually just gave up and went back to default shortcuts. If this is going to be the experience of a Maya user using 2.8 for the first time, I can tell you that the vast majority of your users will give up, either on the keymap or on Blender itself.

Honestly, while I applaud the effort, I see this as taking a half measure when you needed to take a whole. Imagine being a Maya user, and opening Blender for the first time. You've heard 2.8 is great, so you fire up the program.
