Thanks a lot @Philipp Oeser (lichtwerk) ! I will take a look at the test_select function.
Indeed, it is way better with the latest build : 2.91.0 Alpha, branch: master, commit date: 2020-09-16 21:05, hash: rB27660b3cd90d
There is still some sort of boundary around the gizmo as you can see in the gif bellow : The gizmo is selected even if the cursor is outside of it, but maybe this can be change in the preferences, I don't know.

Well that's strange.. This is what happening to me with a Blender in factory settings :
- First, I I use ALT+LEFTMOUSE, you can see the invoke is called every times, I need to RIGHTCLICK multiple times to cancelled the modal.
- Then I use S+LEFTMOUSE multiple times but you can see that the invoke is called only one time.

Hi @Julian Eisel (Severin) @Sebastian Parborg (zeddb) I'm trully sorry, I know you guys have a lot to do, but I don't know what I can do more. This is still broken in the last build and this report still say that you need information.

You should report a bug :o) The gizmo operator is one of the templates provided with Blender. Maybe the gizmo size in your preferences is reduce to the minimum ?

Hi @Sebastian Parborg (zeddb) Sorry to bother you. Just for my understanding, is there anything more I can or should do to help ? Or may be this is not a bug ?
Apr 28 2020
Well, I really don't understand.. You have to be in edit mode, for sure, for the script to work.
You do have the 'Show Gizmo' toggle in the header ?

Sorry, my bad, you have to launch the script and then using F3, search for the operator : Select Side of Plane
Thanks @Sebastian Parborg (zeddb)

@Richard Antalik (ISS)
Yes, I've download the latest nvidia driver (441.87) and the problem is still here for me.
Jan 24 2020
There is no custom gizmo in T73033 (the script is using the GIZMO_GT_arrow_3d gizmo) and it's working perfectly, no problem there.
Can't try on another PC, and it's the basic display settings.
I just tried on blender 2.82-18343c230d2c-windows64 and if the selection is still a problem, the shape of the gizmo is good and I was wrong.

@Robert Guetzkow (rjg) Yes I understand now, but as user it's really disconcerting to see the link disappearing without any warning when you change from a vector to a float, but the connection is still there. And as an addon developper, there is no error telling you that the link is not corresponding to the operation. But, well, it's working now, not a big deal. Again, thanks a lot for taking the time.
Thanks to both of you for the tips, it's working now using your advise. Sorry for the misunderstanding !
But as @Stanislav Blinov (radcapricorn) say, the same behavior appear when changing manually the operation in the node editor, wich is really strange

Just for information, the selection is now working fine, thanks !, but the new_custom_shape function is not working for me with the 'TRIS' type option.
This is what the gizmo looks like using the gizmo_custom_geometry.py template and a point light :

I don't know if it's only for me, but this how the gizmo looks like when I run the script and it's difficult for me to select :

Still craching with the latest build : Version 280 sub 42 date 2019-01-28 22:11 hash 957b4547aeeb

Just tried with the latest build and have the same crash :
Delete config, fresh start, open the default scene, delete the cube, go to UV workspace, use the cursor, crash.

For information, this is working :
point = C.object
Jan 16 2019
Yes, it's exactly that. It's useful to target an object quickly, think of a light or a reflector for bouncing light in shadow areas.
Jan 15 2019
Ok, thanks a lot for the explanations and your hard work guys !
I will have to find another way to make this texture.
