Yeah, That is still the issue. Check this file. I also didn't have an issue on the past length to the object, but now you can try it without moving camera before selecting.

I uploaded the video when I record the crush. Unfortunately I can't update my video drivers on Ubuntu for some reason. I recorded that video with newest build of blender.

Maybe your are right.
I just don't have newer builds for linux 64. it looks like it's not updated yet. I will wait for next build.
Sorry and thank you for reply.

What I noticed it only occurs when this option is unchecked(And it's unchecked by default now)
So basically marking this box will solve the problem until the bug isn't fixed.
Thank you. But it's very uncomfortable. The problem is happening when I try to zoom in or out when my mouse is over background image. Even small change in zooming cause that problem. I wish it's fixed, but I am agree that it's not a bug, maybe I need to make proposal in right click select.

Thank you. But there is no such problem in current version of blender. I closed the task.

Thank you for reply. I tried factory startup and it works fine. It turned out that this is because of blend4web addon. I think I should send to them this problem.
