I've tested this in Windows 7. It appears to have the same problem. My only guess it's the same for mac users as well.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I think a button would make more sense then a check box.

Thank you! Do you think you could change the check box to a button instead? It almost seems to be pointless to be a check box. On second thought, you could have it so the model follows the view in real time till you apply the model settings. As a Pose to checking the box and unchecking to update the model's rotation to view. If you could do one or the other, that would be greatly appreciated, it's just a thought, so don't feel obligated to do it.
