@Clément Foucault (fclem) I've noticed this task was closed as a duplicate and you've fixed it in the T70614 however if I test the file on this page the issue is still there. Can you please test the file attached to this task?

@Pablo Dobarro (pablodp606) Yea scratch that idea it feels pretty bad. I guess picking what axis to use manually would be the best in that case and maybe a sensitivity slider? Idk I wana hear what @Julien Kaspar (JulienKaspar) thinks.
@Pablo Dobarro (pablodp606) I feel like that would be a really slight movement and won't be as annoying but that's just my opinion of course.
@Pablo Dobarro (pablodp606) is it possible to maybe create a vector from the direction u first start moving the cursor in and then read values from it instead of splitting viewport into areas?
@Pablo Dobarro (pablodp606) I think this patch is a great middle ground but right now it seems to be a little inconsistant like in the end of this video:
I dont know what's going on behind the scenes exactly but it definately feels way less responsive and snappy. The only benefit i can see this brings is you can scale the brush down to 1 pixel easier, however that is barely needed especially in other modes like sculpting and weight painting.
Also, now dragging diagonally makes it resize way too slow so you have to trigger the shortcut multiple times or move your arm alot.
@Pablo Dobarro (pablodp606) Why does it have to be centered though? It feels pretty weird now because to scale it down u need to drag all the way to the left instead of center of the brush.

I think me and @Demeter Dzadik (Mets) have figured it out. This happens because it checks if the mouse is moving around before keying the rotation. It seems this is happening because of the playback keying working even when there's no playback going on. You can see in the attached video that when i apply rotation while the mouse is static it keys only location but when i apply rotation while the mouse is moving around it keys both.
I've downloaded today's build and reset it to factory settings. I've noticed it keys only location if i rotate it and apply but it inserts both location and rotation keys when I play animation while rotating it.

I thought you guys said 2.7 keymap will be still supported.... Why do I have to be punished for not wanting to use the 2.8 keymap that is missing quite a bit of keys from the 2.7 one. I dont get why advanced users became second class citizens all over a sudden because u guys decided to make blender more friendly for beginners. I want to have Pie menus in 2.7 keymap too but the only option is the Pie addon which isn't quite like it.

PLEASE LEAVE THIS IN!!! Its soooo annoying to hide anything for object mode. The only other option is Mask modifier and that thing is super slow to set up. I would really love to have this as a shading option in the panel somewhere.

It seems this doesn't happen anymore on my files. Thanks!

Can confirm, its a real issue. Ive faced it a few times while painting textures in dev view.
Here's a video of me reproducing the bug:
I've switched between different modes and then spammed CTRL + Z, CTRL + SHIFT + Z a few times.
I've tried doing the same on a file with finished, baked textures but the issue doesn't seem to be there, so I think it only happens on complex node trees with a lot of textures.

I have that issue too. It sometimes crashes blender if you double click an image while that is happening.
