This is probably related to: T89455
You probably have edit mode display turned off.
I have the same issue on one of my files, blender crashes as soon as I go to rendered view. I got this after running blender.exe -d

There have been multiple reports about rendering issues after the latest amd graphics drivers update, rolling back the drivers before version 20.11.2 might help. A workaround is to enable High quality normals option, in eevee render settings.
Look at T82856 for more info.

The default mean radius is set to 1, but if you scale the curve and apply the scale, the mean radius stays the same as the previous scale value. I think this behavior is intentional, so the curve has the same depth you see after applying scales, resetting the mean radius to 1 after applying the scale would make it jump back to the global scale which would be inconvenient if you are working with on a very small scale

I cant reproduce this in the mentioned version or master
looks like this was the same issue as T79811, but it crashed instead of not displaying correctly. Its fixed in current build

Can you upload the blend file where it doesnt work? also looking at the screenshot you have liquid option turned off, and you cant really have a fluid sim without any liquid.
Bisecting points to this commit efc97b3919ea4fd46b9d2e931ca3fea27e7ea31c
it happens with all blend files including the default start up file, the ig7icd64.dll file in the crash logs seems to be a driver file, so I tried updating and reinstalling drivers and its still the same

Blender seems to be running on the integrated gpu, try running blender with the nvidia gpu. You can do that by right clicking on the program and selecting nvidia processor from the list.
I can confirm this, seems to have an issue in perspective mode as well, the face dots disappear if you zoom too close.
Can you upload your system info file? run the blender_debug_log.cmd file on the blender install directory and upload the files it outputs.

Please update to latest blender (2.83) version and see if the issue still persists, you can download latest version from here: https://www.blender.org/download/
This is not a bug, your surface normals are flipped on the fingers. To fix this, go to edit mode, select every thing and press Shift N to recalculate normals. The sculpt brushes uses the mesh normals so if the normals are inverted the brush will be inverted as well.
