With yesterday's Windows build from the 2.90 Beta, everything seems fine now, but i'll test this file again from time to time to make sure this isn't an accident.

I just tested it again with the most recent build, and it became even worse. Blender now instantly crashes after starting up, sometimes you can still see the broken mesh before it shuts down.

Could indeed be related to display scaling, because I cannot reproduce it currently. Can you make a short screen recording that shows the issue?

I Tested it again and it seems that this only happens if the new window is placed on my second monitor, which uses a 125% Display scaling. If i set the scaling to 100% and try it again, the bug is not present anymore.

Hi, i think it would make sense to add a seperate "Export selection" option in the File menu. I've often found myself accidentially exporting the entire scene because the current checkbox for that is not very obvious.
