Don't know why, but I recompiled and it works now.

I'm getting the same error on a AMD 5800K APU, which has the Radeon HD 7660D GPU, on startup in 2.8. The default cube displays, but its shader is just a bunch of random noise. I should mention that this only occurs with Eevee, and not any of the other render engines.

Getting the same issue here on Linux with an AMD 5800K APU. Apparently, gpu_basic_shader is returning a null pointer which gets passed to GPU_shader_get_uniform, which then tries to point/access elements in that structure, resulting in a segfault.

I have an idea I'd like to get out. How about defining a new addon preferences field called "Tab" (or something else intuitive) for addons that are in the contrib folder or installed? That is, just not ones that are maintained. This field is, by default, empty, but can be initialized by the addon through bl_category or overwritten by the user's choice.

The main reason I brought this up (and the only reason I came upon this) was because I use that specific view with the simplify brush to get rid of many of the triangles I put in. And viewing the ENTIRE wireframe causes me some confusion when I'm simplifying.
