@Pablo Dobarro (pablodp606) wanted to point out that since we have the transform op in sculpt mode ( btw thanks for that i love it), we should definitively use the default transform shortcut in sculpt as well for consistency, so g,r,s keys should be use for transform and not anything else.

I think we should target the default settings to pen users primarily since it's pretty much what sculpt mode is supposed to be used with. Personally I don't think that >anyone should use a mouse unless there's no other way.

Just check you mesh again you, Now i m pretty sure this is not a bug, You don't have enough vertices you have to apply that subsurface modifier. <- that is your problem. Apply sub mod. you will be good to go.

Changing the size does allow me to move the mesh. Problem with this is the brush is too big for the operation needed. However, I'm happy to know this solution.

I have noticed something like this as well, when scrubbing through my animation with the up-arrow, the animation got slow sometimes it doesn't play it some frames. I was suspecting my machine. Just putting this here just in case this is related.

D is still used for annotate (although we could have an exception and override this).
W is used for context menu when select is set to right mouse select.

Clearly a typo here and when i writing this sculpt mode chapter, i had in my mind the three ways of sculpting in Blender but with many changes from other contributors ( i appreciate a lot) the main idea is lost.

Here is to example of me using first master with your patch and Pablo's branch, What i have understood is that when i m sculpting i unconsciously like to see where is the cursor and that is the place that maximum of influence will be applied (sorry for confusing in my BA thread). When the cursor is not visible i m getting confused.

Guys all this had started because some people wanted to save the quick favorites, can we have only that implemented? in stead of autosaving the all preferences. This is what most of us was asking in that thread and "UI team" made a "decision". Sorry again for the intrusion.

A revert function is not popular indeed, and actually is not that useful.
What we need is an option to turn on/off preferences autosaving, and I believe most users will not want to have this enabled by default, because blender preferences is very different from most softwares out there.
In most apps out there, things like keymap settings, addons/plugins, sometimes even themes, they usually have a separate editor each, and you save those settings separately. Usually those things are not part of the main preferences, that's why they can afford to have that preferences autosaving feature, because their preferences is not that complex, which is not the case in blender.
It would be nice if we could save the quick favorites in a separate file, so we could load it everywhere. Some apps gives you a prompt when quitting if you want to save the unsaved keymap changes, blender could do the same.

Auto-saving whole preferences is not a good idea even autosave just a whole keymap, because if you set something wrong or just wanna check something you have to just restart blender now to restore preferences. If only quick favorites could be autosaved separately, that would be a good solution. If it isn't possible then better off keep it as it is.

Hi @YAFU (YAFU), I just booted into Windows 10, downloaded blender 2.8 official packages and repeated the test there.
I still see a difference in performance between dyntopo enabled vs disabled on Windows. It is, however, much smaller than what I see on Linux: Linux sees performance drop to maybe 2-3 FPS, whereas Windows sees a drop to around 15 FPS.
However, I think this is beside the point: if the grab brush doesn't create any topology, why does toggling dyntopo on and off change the performance at all, on any operating system? Perhaps Linux is slower, but if dyntopo doesn't do anything for the grab brush, it should be the same amount of slower, regardless of dyntopo being enabled, right?

If Pablo made the promise to fix any issues his sculpting patches bring up (as opposed to leaving it to the core team), then I don't see why it shouldn't be committed, especially as there's nothing in dev. discussion mentioning a feature freeze.
My opinion anyway.

For me the idea of putting ready UVs for default primitive is not well thought. This is not a bug, to solve it, in the property window go to Object Data tab and in UV Maps panel delete that default UV.

This is not a bug, it is feature "fast navigation" you can turn off. Go to sculpt mode in the sculpt menu remove the check in Fast Navigation.

Interesting. Can you try resizing window manually to a smaller size and see if that allows you to zoom out more?
Could be something OS related, was only testing on Linux. Can fire on Window box tomorrow and see how that works.

I don't think current builds from buildot do include my fix from today. Without it it will not work indeed.
Do you mind testing with the next build? (will be available later tonight. So maybe wait for until tomorrow, give it a test, and let us know how it goes).

It works fine for me, however it seems like the blender built in player lacks scaling, so if I playback a 1080p video on a 1080p monitor, I have to make sure that the player window is fullscreen or the video will be cropped.

This is a problem we didn't have in Blender 2.79

@artem ivanov (ixd) It seems like i didn't understand your suggestion well. This bug report is about not rendering a mesh in the collection but rendering the same mesh anyway as particle instance. To put into contest of Blender 2.7 ( group some objects and put them in no-active layer, and add the group as particle instance. In Blender 2.7 the object will be rendered anyway). Away if you have a solution please just update the blend file above and share it, i would love to learn how to it.
