@Campbell Barton (campbellbarton) i see now, so yesterday while testing i offset it first and i scaled it. I wanted it to be on specific spot and with specific size and every time i was scaling it to have the correct size it will move from the spot that i have put it before, now i see it was because of the offset.
And it seems like we cannot scale empty as image with bounding box as pivot center.
The option 'scale around the image center' will be good as well :)
Tested the empty as an image functionality yesterday in Blender 2.8, because Clay render doesn't have background image yet , sincerely talking it a pain to manipulate the image. it scales only from the origin and since scaling from the origin is like translating it is making it hard to have the image in one place. It would good to have the future empty as image behave just like Blender 2.79 background image.
May be a .blend would be good to look into because my snapping is working great here in win 7 geforce gtx 550ti. Blender 2.79 and master as well.

For me at least, it doesn't seem like too much info on the brush since the indicator disappears while sculpting. Yes this is a useful feature while working with asymmetry model. You want the brush to remind you if the symmetry is on or off.
Something similar would be great to have for the lock option. The lock option needs this option so much because it used for in a short amount of time.

Or he can do it manually delete the edge loop close to the center and L key select the unwanted part and then delete it, add mirror mod. and then apply it.

This is a feature i use a lot when sculpting, specially when i have hard time to get the proportion right, so it will be good if it has an option to turn it on and off in orthogonal view or perspective view. It will be disturbing to have it stick on your model while in perspective view.

Blender 2.79 is around the corner, please do something. @Bastien Montagne (mont29), @Campbell Barton (campbellbarton), @Tom Musgrove (letterrip) this branch is so close to be ready please guys do something, here we have the speed that Blender is missing in painting mode. Bastien did you try to replicate it? Behavior had changed, get Blender 2.77 series screencast worked out of the box but with 2.78a it doesn't work or should ask how to " ensure your window has a size compatible with chosen video codec"? At least before we didn't have to.

Those are known limitations of multires. modifier. You are having those problems because your sculpting in different subdivision level. My experience with multires. is to have as much detail as possible in the level 3 or below and when i move to level 4 or above i add fine details and don't go back to level 3 to sculpt :(

I m still getting some random crashes with 22d53e5, this time it crashes when rendering, but hash 98e2135 is rendering the scene now. i really don't know how to help here :( May be it will be better to start my own report so we can investigate together.
I checked it in win 7 gtx 550ti in master, release, and my own build it works fine without freezing.

I found a small something when open a old .blend file saved with motion path, this new feature act kind of strange. Doesn't create a path and does color only dots. deleting the curve and adding a new one solved the issue.
I have compiled this diff and played around with it. As a animator color per path is a good way to handle your animation. Here is a screenshot http://www.pasteall.org/pic/show.php?id=102004

The workaround worked great i just enabled subdivision modifier in 3d view, edit hair and comb again. it works well

What is your Dyntopo detail size? it seems like i cannot reproduce it with default 30%
The last commit on that list cause the problem here. So https://developer.blender.org/rB9df9c17d2c1686f7360d7f23cfbeea9e0dfd1e5b the problem is in there and tried commit vse crops video horizontal, everything seems okay here.

May be i should change the bug title,... now do this:
go to the left panel of the graph editor, select one channel and invert selection (ctrl+I ) and hide, things work okay. And if you do the same thing (ctrl+I ) with curves, in stead of inverting selection Blender selects all the channel in the left panel. Shouldn't be consistent with curves as well?
