I would be happy to test it out on my end and give feedback, since I own a 3d spacemouse, to let you know if the malfunction is still occuring on my end. Currently, there's still the same issue happening. It only responds to input when I'm either holding down any of the arrow keys or sliding the mouse around.

I just tested this with the latest build (Mon Mar 21 05:02:46 2016) on my Macbook Pro. The problem still occurs within the same panels and editors as shown in the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvzI34wjB6s&feature=youtu.be

Oh yes, that seems to fix it. Thank you.
I changed the mapping mode from "pen" to "mouse" and back and the problem still occurred.

I figured out what my problem was. I went to the Input Settings in the User Preferences, where it says "zoom style" and chose the "Dolly" option instead of "Continue." After I did that, I no longer experienced the glitch.

Yes. I've been using the + and - to control the zoom. Pinch zoom on my Macbook Pro trackpad is still wonky on some features, such as the node editor, properties panel, timeline, and the 3d view side panels.

I think you're correct about it being a corrupt file. I took everything off of my desktop and it seemed to fix the problem. Then, I put the files back and the problem reoccured, but when I took away most of the files and left a few, the problem went away again.. Also, thumbnail mode seemed to have been when the crash was happening, because when I changed it to the short list, there was no crash, whatsoever. Thank you for clearing that up for me.

After downloading the latest build, I see that this issue has been fixed.
