Edit :after rendering , cycles preview now shows only one coloured button ( array modifier not applied )
But this only happens when the Ýçoordinate is seprated
Have a look into the shader editor and switch separation coordinates and look at the cycles preview render

I have some more info concerning this issue , and this time subdivision modifier is not even inserted
It also occurs when I hide a part of a mesh
When I hide the top half of a sphere , I can only select the front facing vertices

On the other hand , doing the exact same thing but without using the''texture node editor , using the image '' in proces'' as a brush, does not result in crashing

All I can say is that I don't have this issue with blender 2.79 , my graphics card is pretty old but it does meet blenders 2.8 requirements

I have some more info regarding this bug , ( which seems to happen on my machine only )
It does work when "show whole scene transparent 'is turned on . otherwise ..it 's the same issue

Noppes , I just donwloaded the latest beta .
I can only select 1 vertice
Maybe it's a graphics card issue

One behaviour I can't get back , is when releasing the right mouse button while dragging a vertice , it should snap back to it's original position

Seriously ,
In blender 2.7 , selecting a single vertex was done with the right mouse button
Adding vertices to this selection was done by shift + right click and so we could select 1.2.3. or more etc
We could also do ctrl+left click for lasso selection but this is not the issue here
JUst load blender 2.7 , create a sphere with a lot of vertices and enable the rotate gizmo
Now select 5 vertices by shift + right clicking
And since right click is now left click in 2.8 , I excpect the same
Simpe additivve selction method without grabbing the lasso tool
What's so difficult to understand ?

Incorrect
Load up blender 2.7 and select some vertices ( with the shift + right mouse button ) which falls inside the rotate and or move gizmo
It will select multiple vertices
And since right click is now left click in 2.8 , I ecpect the same behaviour

For me this is a major show stopper , if was possible in previous versions why not in 2.8 ?
Sure the new gizmo looks nice , but it shouldn't be in the way of getting basic things done

I can understand that the threads are merged , but the example I provided has nothing to do with a high edge/vertex count
The basic initialised cylinder has 32 vertices .
