Tested today on 2 others Mac's, look like on AMD GPU Blender crashes and with Intel GPU it works but the colors are wrong.
Mar 2 2021
Feb 25 2021
Works fine here on Blender and OSX.
Feb 12 2021
Also works fine here.
Jan 29 2021
Works fine here on OSX and Blender 2.91.2 and 2.92.0 Beta.
Dec 30 2020
A proper bug report would be nice. How to report --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTD0OJq_rF4
Nov 30 2020
@Richard Antalik (ISS) yes, still an issue, Blender ignores the buttons settings that are configured in 3D Connexion.
Still same issue on my OSX with Intel GPU and Blender 2.91 and 2.92 alpha.
Nov 28 2020
@Jochem Meijers (jochem_m) ohh, sorry, wrong Blender version, same bug I've also here with Windows 10 and RX 480.
So, I've tested this file with Windows 10 and Blender 2.91. Same bug also occurs here with AMD.
Nov 26 2020
Tested here on Windows 10 with RX 480, seems to be fine with Blender 2.91.
Works fine with OSX and AMD in 2.91 and 2.92.
For me it is crashing with this file by switching the viewport to "Material Preview Mode" or "Render Mode".
It is still reproducible on MacBook with Intel HD Graphics 4000 and Blender 2.91/2.92. But on 2.92 the flickering became less.
Works fine here with Blender 2.91 and 2.92
@Yevgeny Makarov (jenkm) Blender_NDOF_1.app, Blender_NDOF_2.app and Blender_NDOF_4.app same bug. Blender_NDOF_3.app doesn't work with 3DConnexion Mouse.
Nov 25 2020
@Richard Antalik (ISS) double checked with latest Blender 2.91 and 2.92, issue still reproducible.
Nov 17 2020
Similiar to this issue (https://developer.blender.org/T64024) but now with Big Sur?
@Nicholas Rishel (nicholas_rishel) working fine with the test build 👍
Nov 3 2020
Thx @Brecht Van Lommel (brecht). It's working fine now.
Oct 28 2020
@Yevgeny Makarov (jenkm) yes, there is kind of strange caching issue, you need always to activate and deactivate something for caching updating and start animation from the end.
Oct 27 2020
Works also fine here.
Oct 13 2020
Here it's working fine.
Oct 7 2020
Here its also working ( Macbook 2012 (Intel GPU, Catalina) ).
Sep 29 2020
Looks like the bug is fixed with 2.90.1 (branch: master, commit date: 2020-09-23 06:43, hash: rB3e85bb34d0d7)
Sep 28 2020
Sep 22 2020
Looks like duplication of T80974.
Sep 3 2020
@Ankit Meel (ankitm) I've tested on 3 Macs with Intel GPU and AMD, cursor disappers on all three.
Same problem with 2.90 on MacOS.
Aug 31 2020
Also crashes here with Blender 2.83.5
Aug 18 2020
On my Mac it also doesn't work with the latest build.
Jul 14 2020
Works fine here on OSX with Intel GPU and Blender 2.83.2. Try to update your GPU drivers.
Jul 13 2020
Please attach a sample file.
Works fine here on OSX Catalina with AMD and Blender 2.83.2
Jul 2 2020
@Jose (genialica) what you can do is debug/compile Blender directly on your machine, and then try to find the commit where the bug occurs on your Mac. git bisect is a good option to do that --> https://git-scm.com/docs/git-bisect#_basic_bisect_commands_start_bad_good
Jun 29 2020
@Jose (genialica) your hardware is very limited, on https://www.blender.org/download/requirements/ the minimum hardware requirements for GPUs are 1 GB RAM and AMD with GCN 1st gen and newer. I think yours is 512MB.
Jun 22 2020
If you look at https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208969 your iMac is compatible with High Sirra 😊 Here is the download-link for HS --> https://itunes.apple.com/de/app/macos-high-sierra/id1246284741?ls=1&mt=12
@Jose (genialica) already tried with an update to High Sierra?
Duplication of T61573. Task can be closed.
Jun 19 2020
Jun 18 2020
Tested today also with Photoshop and Krita. With Blender and Photoshop it's working fine, but with Krita I've the same lag 🤔.
Jun 17 2020
wireframe_test.blend works fine here
On a Hackintosh with AMD GPU it's working fine, but on a Macbook with Intel GPU I've the same issue.
Also here it doesn't work on a Macbook with Intel GPU, looks like this issue appears only on OSX with Intel GPU.
On a Hackintosh with AMD GPU it's working fine.
I think it effects only on OSX system with Intel GPU. On my Macbook(Intel GPU, Catalina, 2012) Grease Pencil with dots, gradients (T75061) and texture doesn't work.
For me it's working fine on Cintiq 12WX with the latest 6.3.39-1 driver.
Jun 15 2020
Also crashes here, crashlog attached.
Jun 5 2020
Thx to @Clément Foucault (fclem), also here it's works fine 👍
May 27 2020
Same issue with motion blur and particle system like here https://developer.blender.org/T75238
May 25 2020
For me it is also lagging if I set the width/height to 4096px (see video attached)
May 5 2020
I think there is a problem with the Intel GPU driver, try to backup the system and update to Mojave or Catalina.
May 4 2020
Do you have added Blender in the configuration menu?
Apr 29 2020
@Zoltán Némedi (nemediz) thx for this proposal, on my AMD hackintosh it's working 👍 (see video attached)
@Zoltán Némedi (nemediz) could you attach your changes of the source code?
Apr 17 2020
Apr 15 2020
For me Blender (2.82 and 2.83) crashes with this file on a Macbook with Intel GPU (see crashlog attached). But works on a Hackintosh with AMD GPU.
Apr 8 2020
Blender also crashes on animchannels_clean_empty_exec here with 2.82a and 2.83 (latest build).
Apr 7 2020
With Shift-W menu I get also "No Folder Selected" (see video attached)
Apr 2 2020
By removing the sprinkles it's looking fine, seems like there is a bug with particle system and motion blur.
For me it is broken on Blender 2.82a but works on 2.83. (screenshots attached, same file in different Blender versions)
Apr 1 2020
Seems like it works with Blender 2.81a
@Julio Ferrari (jfcalcena) with your setup there are so many reasons why Blender crashes
For me 2.82a completely crashes if motion blur is activated (crashlog attached) and I try to render image, with the latest 2.83alpha (hash: rB0062813c731f) it also crashes.
Mar 30 2020
try to test that with 1 GPU
Mar 27 2020
try to open the file "C:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\Blender 2.82\2.82\scripts\addons\ant_landscape\ant_functions.py", scroll to line 1065 and replace with
Mar 23 2020
Reproducible also on OSX.
Mar 18 2020
Seems to be fine in 2.83, but it's broken with 2.82a.
Mar 16 2020
working fine here
Mar 9 2020
Some relevant informations perhaps: https://github.com/libgdx/libgdx/pull/5893
Mar 6 2020
@Werner (camot) it is an Apple's AMD drivers issue, what you can do is to report this bug to Apple and AMD -->
Mar 5 2020
Looks like something is with transmission and AMD graphics cards (see video attached). Tested also on OSX with Intel GPU, works fine.
Mar 4 2020
On my Hackintosh (AMD Ryzen 5 + Radeon RX 480) it is working fine with Blender 2.82. But on my MacBook (Pro (Mid 2012), 2,5 GHz Intel Core i5, Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB) its reproducible. (see video attached)
Mar 2 2020
With version: 2.83 (sub 5), branch: master, commit date: 2020-03-01 21:35, hash: rBeaf0528749c8 issue is resolved.
Feb 28 2020
Bug is also reproducible no a MacBook Pro (Mid 2012), 2,5 GHz Intel Core i5, Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB.
Feb 27 2020
It is also crashing on my MacOS 10.15.3 system. Crash report is attached.
Feb 18 2020
Issue is still there. Same behaviour also occurs in C4D but not in Rhino and Archicad (somehow they fix this issue).
Feb 12 2020
Feb 10 2020
looks like Brave Browser is also crashing with OSX accessibility zoom feature ( https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/issues/8149 )
Feb 3 2020
I mean, the system preferences in OSX .
@Guilherme (guilhermenunes09) could you try to switch your GPU in the setting to Intel and then test again?
Jan 31 2020
I think it's the same bug like here https://developer.blender.org/T71354
Both are using principled volume shader.
Jan 30 2020
Tested with the build 2.83 Alpha, works fine on OSX Catalina 10.15.3.
Jan 24 2020
Crashes on 2.82 hash: 18343c230d2c --> crashlog https://pastebin.com/yRJuywWL
Works fine with 2.83 hash: 11df5443e5d0
Jan 22 2020
it is crashing for me with the builds from https://builder.blender.org/download/
