After all it is not a big problem, I can live without negative scaled objects. I've stumble on it by mistake.
But it could cost some time of debugging perfectly working shader. All credits to ania for help with reproducing bug.

another thing is that if you don't have this texture node connected in cycles material UV -> show other object does not work

by "proportion" I meant Aspect Ratio of image.Please forgive my English.
If you have no texture node connected to shader in node editor blender assumes that there is square texture. No matter what is opened in image editor. So if you have image with other than 1:1 proportion rectangle, projection is squashed.
