Ok Thanks. I just followed the suggestion on this bug report: https://developer.blender.org/T38719

So, how can we generate a "lossless" h264 output with flac audio codec inside a mkv? The only way to get the h264 codec with the "lossless" option is generating an AVI.

This bug is still present on Blender 2.73

Well, one workflow I could imagine is something like this: after making a lot of keyframes in uniform scale, then I decide to change just the X or Y of some in the middle of my animation. If the keyframes were inserted in both values, I just need to change the desired keyframes. But in the actual state, I would need to copy the X keyframes and paste into the Y keyframes, and then change the keyframes I want.

I can confirm that Gaussian Blur effect is extremely slow. Interesting is that Glow effect is faster. Looking at the code, it seems that Glow effect is two effects mixed, one of them being blur....?

It happens that adding a video into the sequencer, the file can be "packed" into the .blend . This way, the video is not a strip too? Why does a video is packed and not an image?
Hello. I am not an active developer, I am just a user who sends bugs and bothers the developers a bit :D

Well, it is already attached, in description. Anyway, it can be downloaded here: https://www.jamendo.com/en/track/764961/let-it-in-instrumental-version

I see. So, what is "prefetch" for?
Well, it is not that hard to reproduce. Just add a lot of strips with common effects like alpha over. The link is for a screen record of some strips playing with some video. The FPS goes to 4-7 - definitely not smooth - and you can note that when you move a strip and play, you can see... how can I say... "residual" frames that, as I understand, is a consequence of blender not pre-"fetching" the frames.

We can see this issue while exporting a sequence from VSE in h264 format with FLAC as audio codec. The result is a file that does not contain "regular" flac audio stream and is mute even in VLC. What I need to do in this case is convert the file like this:

I can confirm that this issue is still present in Blender 2.71.

Well, this function was extremely useful for me until last version of Blender (2.71). I use Sequencer a lot, and jump to the next keyframe, regardless if the keyframe is "visible", is one of the main shortcuts I use. I think that should have an option to enable or disable this option.

Thanks for reproducing the issue.

The following is the file and the image I generated with some alpha values.

Here are some more examples. As you can see in the details, it seems that in sequencer some black color, or dark, is added to the alpha values.

In both cases, I mix the same image with plain white background.

I am in the same situation than you. I too have donated to the project some time ago. I make videos for an internal channel and most of this (if not all) are done in blender vse. This feature would make our work easier and faster.

Here is a video of the "copy strip" and "paste strip".
