Kevin Mossey (kdawg) added a comment to D583: Rework 2D stabilizator.

I was able to apply the previous patch for 2.75 v4645 ( rev 2de497e ) with no issues, but I am also having similar issues on this new diff. However, when I was able to use it on 2.75, this was fantastic! In the next week I will be uploading some image stabilizations I did from an airplane flight (I put a gopro under the wing) that I have been working on.

Kevin Mossey (kdawg) added a comment to T45546: Path contained within .blend is may be too verbose.

So, I only use Blender for a hobby, as I'm an engineer by trade - but I wanted to say that any serious engineering firm that is going to share any kind of technical document(s) with anyone else, will have that person or organization sign an NDA (Non-disclosure agreement) before handing anything over. At that point, it doesn't matter if you know anything of the internal path names, etc. If that firm leaks any of that information, they are now liable.

Kevin Mossey (kdawg) added a comment to D1199: Hide unused sockets on math nodes.

Currently, in the patch as written, whatever is linked to the second node stays linked to the second node, and only disappears temporarily. If you go to an operation that only has one input (say, sin), and you have an input on the second node and then go back to a function that has two inputs (say, add), whatever was connected to the second node will reappear. This happens even if you save the .blend, quit, and reload.

Kevin Mossey (kdawg) updated the diff for D1199: Hide unused sockets on math nodes.

I added a function "node_update_num_math_sockets()" to node_util.c, and included the header node_util.h in each of shader, composite, and texture math node c files. I also replaced the long list of ||'s with the ELEM macro, and fixed the comments to be c style comments.

Kevin Mossey (kdawg) updated the diff for D1199: Hide unused sockets on math nodes.

I've added the update to the composite and texture nodes as well now.

Kevin Mossey (kdawg) added a comment to D1199: Hide unused sockets on math nodes.

I've fixed the code for the texture and composite nodes, as well, but I don't know how to replace/update this diff. Should I just create a new diff for those two files?

Kevin Mossey (kdawg) added a comment to T41654: Motion blur incorrectly blurs rigid bodies.

I just downloaded the most recent source and built it, same issue.

Kevin Mossey (kdawg) added a comment to T41654: Motion blur incorrectly blurs rigid bodies.

I can definitely reproduce this by setting the end frame to 15 (for a quick animation), lifting the cube up slightly in frame 1, pressing alt-A to run simulation, getting a full cache then trying to render with motion blur on frame 7. Also when I run this on frame 1, I also get a slightly transparent box.

Kevin Mossey (kdawg) added a comment to T41429: File Manager up button missing when shortcuts are used (win32).

Well, I think the problem is that it's not following the windows library shortcut properly.. So even if you add an "Up" button, the files that are in that library location are missing. I spent some time (30 minutes?) looking for how to distinguish those folders in windows and came up with nothing.

Confirmed this on Win 7 64 bit.

Kevin Mossey (kdawg) added a comment to T40593: Maximize not restored when opening Blender.

On windows 7, 64 bit, with dual monitors, I am unable to reproduce this behavior. I started Blender, clicked to remove the splash screen, set the window state, pressed ctrl-u, and saved startup. I then quit and restarted. The window state returned as I saved it in the startup.blend file.

Kevin Mossey (kdawg) added a comment to T41429: File Manager up button missing when shortcuts are used (win32).

After more investigating, I found the bug. This happens when blender follows a shortcut. Under "C:\Users\Kevin\Documents\" is a shortcut called "My Pictures" which takes you to "C:\Users\Kevin\My Pictures". When I open the shortcut in blender, it's blank.

Kevin Mossey (kdawg) added a comment to T41443: Seperate bug with Curves & Hooks.

I'm able to repeat this problem on Win 7 64 bit. Stepping through the code line by line it seems to be crashing at

static CVKeyIndex *getCVKeyIndex(EditNurb *editnurb, void *cv)
{
	return BLI_ghash_lookup(editnurb->keyindex, cv);
}

Tested this on Windows both 32 and 64 bit - I don't get the same issue with the up arrow going away (2.71.3 for both). The .. is always there.

I installed Visual Studio Professional 2013 on Windows 7. I used CMake to configure Visual Studio for a 32 bit build. When I built Blender, I received the following linker error:
