Reverting a92fc348f46755c34023eff4fc1d7f467241c616 does not fix rigs already generated by 2.78 using new Rigify (non legacy)
Bisected from 2.77 to 2.78 using Rigify folder from 2.78.

- moving Rigify folder from 2.78 to blender 2.77 and starting/generating a rig in 2.77 works
- however opening a .blend/rig from 2.78 with this modified 2.77 is still broken
With "hand_IK.R" selected change the IK/FK slider from 0 to 1 and back to notice the jiggling

The bug affects 2.79 as well.
It seem the issue came along with Pitchipoy integration.

When you move the mouse during rendering the frame number on the timeline changes so you can see how it goes over every single frame.
It goes so slow that you can see the frames being evaluated one by one regardless of the frame step.

btw: this bug is not listed in my authored bugs list (maybe some issue with phabricator ?)
Simple, it goes so slow that you actually see the frame number changing 1,2,3,4,5,6...etc.
You cannot stop it with ESC or regain control over Blender in any way until it finds a missing file to render or reaches the end frame.

Not sure who suggested current UI but adaptive sampling UI must stay in the Sampling panel.
We are fragmenting the Properties area like crazy with everything getting its own panel.

Yep. Tried that version provided by Lukas too. Tried CPU, GPU, reset to factory defaults. Set the samples to 10.000 and confidence to 1.
Nothing happens. It just acts as the option is not there.
I tried various values like 20,30,80,90 and there was no change. Then I tried the extremes and same thing.
I patched and built blender but also tried the file provided by lukas and same thing. It does not work (as in "it doesn't do anything").

Hmm, this might be expensive. Unless the update is made through some kind of signal it could affect performance due to checking, updating and copying the tile buffers.

Found out that it breaks the animation even if you don't delete the modifiers.
After some time the animation fluctuates around some random value regardless of what parameters you change in the two modifiers.

I think it's just silly Intel drivers. As long as one method works it's fine.
Checked again, gtx titan works fine.
Intel HD 4600 works with occlusion only.
OGL Select fails. So just occlusion method works.
OGL Occlusion Queries seems to work.
This fails for HD 4600 on an i7 CPU as well

Note that after you manage to "unlock" it (by just moving the mouse over the list and then outside while scrolling) then it works fine for the entire Blender session.

Sorry but to me this just smells like a lazy/incomplete implementation of a feature, not a todo...The idea is to focus on the object when pressing that key.
All situations should be handled. Missed cases qualify as bugs.

Heavy scene --> switch to rendered mode --> pause the viewport --> change to a different viewport (text editor for example) ---> switch back to 3d viewport (which is now in paused rendered mode) --> freeze

The Copy Data path fails to copy the full path to clipboard regardless of the way it will be used (coding, drivers, scripts, documentation, etc).
Because sometimes you cannot even see the full path it is impossible to obtain it.

This shows the correct versus the incomplete data path which is copied to clipboard by the Copy Data Path command.
The user expects to find the selected object (like when it has no parent).
Highlighting the closest open ancestor is confusing in large hierarchies.

Note: this should not be fixed switched by auto-unpausing of the rendered viewport for the following reason:
Check the attached file. The "FIND ME" cube is selected.
Press the Numpad dot key in the Outliner. It will fail to focus on it.

Just try using the official 2.7 win64 version. I tried again and it shows the same bug. Let me make a quick resume on how to recreate it though.
This bug is present in 2.7 official as well.

Is it possible to disable the Streams and Async feature when only one GPU is present until a more elegant solution is found ?
On single GPU machines you cannot use the CPU for rendering at the same time because you can no longer stop blender and need to reset the machine.

In practice it happens that you are always interested in that render layer when you click the little button to rerender it and do not expect to see the final result of the active scene. Specially when other render layers have not been rendered yet the compo will just show blank or incorrect result.
If the Render Layer had a "Use" input (which can be animated already) it could be combined with the Switch node and basically lead to the same effect and other possibilities.
If I am not mistaken the Compositor will not render a Render Layer which is not connected to anything.

Hmm, but Blender can actually save files to symlink folders.
When you render an animation the file output saves to symlinks without any problem.
