Thank you Brecht for your reply, it is just great to have you caring about this.

Also other softwares may use different names for the udim tiles, that is, the name doesn't need to be unique. Then we may have multiple udim textures in the same folder, as in the example below. So the only valid convention around seems to be the udim number, and everything else may vary from software to software.

This is just to let you know that RickyBlender, of the Blender Artists forum, just released a script to convert srgb to linear and back. It is a prototype and some code cleanup is needed. But it works perfect.

@Troy Sobotka (sobotka)
That is amazing .. I am always ready to learn more and I'm sure you can point me to good resources .. don't want to waste your time though .. any advice you can give me to improve my workflow is very welcome :)
@Brecht Van Lommel (brecht)
fbx doesn't specify any color space because it is meant for game engines, that are not color managed. Assuming srgb for a game engine seems a good (and the only) choice to me.

@Troy Sobotka (sobotka)
I agree with you 100% in what you say. I'm not telling srgb is the only way. I'm just telling it is the most common way for traditional and home artists to work.
Thank you very much indeed for your reply to all of you, really. I see I have the Blender's best here so I hope to solve something.
@Antonis Ryakiotakis (psy-fi)
I agree that shouldn't be merged .. but unfortunately it was .. I'll try to open a collada bug report and we'll see ..
Actually Blender has two main issues:
Well, as a matter of fact the point of view (position) and focal length (zoom) are the two factors related to framing (view area).

Thank you very much indeed for your reply Bastien, I'll try to explain better and I hope to be clear this time.
Sergey thank you very much for your reply, but please read again my post. Either you didn't understand it or I wasn't able to explain.

sorry, it seems I was too fast in blaming myself ..
I'm very sorry it's my fault I wasn't aligning the camera properly to do comparisons. If I align with ctrl+alt+0 it works fine.

there are obvious errors in the above post but the board doesn't seem to let me modify my own posts, so I'm reporting the fixes below

I tested your scene against the official collada coherency test. It reports a series of errors, I extracted some of them for your reference.

Hikmet, I don't know if this may help .. but have you tried to load your model in Autodesk FBX Viewer ?
