IMO the dopesheet is the main and and natutal area to deal with channels and have it in the properties too basically is sooo useful for many cases and workflows

The idea is that the main workflow to deal with layers is in dopesheet and use the properties panel for brushes and vertex colors (see a possible startup proposal pic).
but many times you are dealing with a lot of layers (30/40 layers or more) and the properties panel is so usefull for a quick layer management without lost drawing area.

Yes, the diference between windows and linux is sooo huge in Blender in fast drawing movements.
In windows is a real issue have this poor perfomace in Blender for fast drawing movements.

After testing it, I found the crosshair is a little intrusive in my opinion, when your are drawing fine details this crosshair is visual mixing with your real fine strokes and you need displace the crosshair to see how looks your details. A more small crosshair will be better IMO

Shift numpad 4 and 6 don´t work with camera view, basically in camera view is where you want to have this feature, you can make some hacks/rig creating drivers with the camera rotation channels to controllers but you don´t want this, just a simple way to rotate the camera view. If Shift numpad 4 and 6 work in camera view will be enough.

Yes, keeping accuracy of the final strokes is so so important. drawing with acurracy is the key for a good workflow in 2D tasks, like @Matias Mendiola (mendio) said, more than 80% of the time used by the artist with Grease pencil is freehand drawing,
for this reason we create a group of functions in grease pencil brushes to improve the the drawing accuracy.

Yes of course, you can use the 3D cursor tool and works well but if you are draw mode in Grease Pencil, for example drawing a "3D/Volumetric" background buildings set, based in a just a few small orientated planes
(so useful for story boarding and animatics) you need change constantly between 3D cursor and pen tools because the Shift + Right don´t take account your preferences that you previous set in 3D Cursor tool.

Rotate Canvas (and flip) is a must in deed and it will implemented in a future but It's not a good desing choice IMO doing this by rotating the objectin draw mode, draw mode is for draw not for manipulating the objects. We need rotate the whole viewport.

This could be so interesting in deep, but please please please before commint this kind of changes talk with anyone of grease pencil team.
As you now the contextual menus are so useful for the workflow and Grease Pencil is not just for "Paint", basically is an animation tool
and lost all the useful animation options in contextual menus is not worthy at all.

Yes, work well in Blender 2.79 official, the Huion is the only pen device connected. In previous version of Blender 2.8 (a month ago so) works OK with in same PC/Huion configuration .

I like a lot this tool @Charlie Jolly (charlie). Great for the cleanup process and the implemetnation for the user seems ok, (need to test it)
A good improvement will be that you can see the final GP stroke during maipulation (like in mypaint) instead the current preview orange line and
the otherone is have a option to taper the stroke start/end in the toolbar. See the attached gif

Yes, I use Blender in surface book 2 with same issue and after instaling Wintab_x64_188.8.131.52 driver the pressure works (yay!) but Blender have some
problems manage this kind of pen devices, like this one https://developer.blender.org/T55589 the problem is that pen event is not received for the first movements of the pen and only after a while.
this task appear closed but still happening.

yes, in the lasts versions basicaly you can´t select the GP keyframes in dopesheet, "sometimes" can but not offen.

Be sure that you have the surface attached to the keyboard base, GP need a proper graphic card and the Nvidia card is in the base not in the screen part
Yes, is really really annoying, a little trick is if you make a "double click" taping twice in the screen, now you can draw small circle.
I have the same problem with MIschief (link)

With the latest official microsoft pen works better because "reconstruct" the first part of the stroke, with others pens the first part of the stroke is not created, but yes,
is definitely an issue at the beginning of the stroke in blender

There is a duality here, Modifiers are Top/Down and Video editor are Down/top for example
For Grease Pencil is more standard the Down/top, like the 2D animation programs.

Yes, as Ronan said, the goal of properties editors in this 2D workspace is lost without a Grease Pencil object as active object.
The current 2D workspace is a good start indeed, is great to see the white background and a clear interface. The main problem is that goal for this workspace is have the layers panel and GP materials panel at the first sight. I´m not sure what is the best solution for that.

Yes, an importat ponit in my opinion is that the user see at a first use the diference between Annotation and GPencil. So
a pre-populate list, a default RED Layer color (for example) and no pressure by default (activated by the user only if needed), send the right message to the user in the first

Good point, I was thinking on that in all my tests with playing diferent wintab drivres, windows flicks, programs options, etc but Krita works fine with both, wintab or pointer input. The only program that i found with similar problem is Mischief (2D drawing program) but as I comented in the video
Mischief can "recreate" the first part of the stroke
The windows "Flicks" are disabled (or must be) , I forget mention in the video that programs like Krita, Sketch Book, Gimp are working fine without problem with the same laptop, only in Blender I notice this issue

4 it's quite low, 8 is the best for a better visuals but if your graphic cards not so powerfull 4 is ok.
I am referring to the GPencil AA in viewport
I don't know much about the technical implementation but from the user point of view the AA for GP is totally needed, I Hero was always on.

@Joshua Leung (aligorith) is it possible enable again the possibility to open the 2.79 GP files in the 2.8 GP branch? we have the Anncey demos in the Dlender booth the next week and when I open any GP file from 2.79 do not appear the GP data.

Personally I prefer the left one with less red diagonal lines, because the red lines are so visual intrusive in my opinion
