in 63f62cd the lock markers doesn't appear to affect selecting them when using the 'a' key, it's as if that key will only select keyframes (if in graph editor) or strips (nla) when the mouse pointer is at the bottom of their windows. previously and in the rc2 build it would only select keyframes or strips if the pointer was above where the markers are.
thanks guys, and i just tested the 2.75 rc2 and it's working fine in that version, so just these dev builds need to be fixed apparently.

@Bastien Montagne (mont29) thanks very much for the quick fix.

05c4c24 win64 is working fine from what i can tell. what was causing the crash?
May 15 2015
@Bastien Montagne (mont29) ok, i'll try again tomorrow.
c86a6f3 win32 is crashing on the same screens.
@Bastien Montagne (mont29) do you mean one of the windows builds from builder.blender.org? i can try the win32 build from today, the 64 bit version is the same one i've been having trouble with.
i pasted the .dll into the folder with the .exe's and the latest build is still crashing on the same custom layouts it previously was.
thanks and i'll try this .dll and report back.
understood, and as this is now happening on a couple more of my other custom screen layouts, i'll strip out the project file data, and upload some of the layouts i'm using.
May 14 2015
i've managed to fix my .blend file by loading it into the 2.74 stable build, and deleting one of the custom screen layouts i use for the node editor.
May 11 2015
thanks guys, it appears to be working fine now.
May 8 2015
@Joel Godin (FloridaJo) thanks for confirming this. and i only use blender's native renderer.

@Julian Eisel (Severin) the latest build seems to be working fine. i assume sticky keys was removed?
Apr 7 2015
is that for the 9510137 build or will it be a future one?
regarding sticky keys causing the above, ctrl and z keys appear to currently not be working at all in 3d views, with the 46b42db build.
Apr 6 2015
@Julian Eisel (Severin) understood and thanks for letting us know.
@Julian Eisel (Severin) i can confirm my end, it is double tapping the up and down arrows that is causing the jump to next keyframe. holding down the arrows seems to work fine on the scrollbars.
@Julian Eisel (Severin) understood, and thanks a lot.
Apr 5 2015
@Julian Eisel (Severin) i think i understand all that. cool.
in the a1c2b1a build, i just noticed something odd when setting click timeout to 0.
update, av sync is producing very erratic stuttering in the above build. i don't normally use it, but it doesn't behave the same as no sync or frame dropping.
good news, a1c2b1a is working as far as i can tell.
Apr 4 2015
guys, just to clarify, i don't personally use any ease of access features in win7.
@Aaron Carlisle (Blendify) i've just tested with factory settings and no project file.
weird, i got it working temporally by tapping either the ctrl or shift keys. the animation would then play and loop. but if i stopped the animation and started it again. it didn't play, until i pressed one of those keys.
i just went through all the options on the systems tab and couldn't get the animation to play. previous builds work fine, so it's something about the latest one.
the jump to first and last frame buttons are still working, and dragging the timeline works, so it appears it's only the play button is broken.
@Julian Eisel (Severin) this simple cube animation should move across the screen when the play button is pressed. in the latest build it doesn't move and the timeline is not updated, even though the red stop anim player button is displayed at the top of the 3d window.
Mar 18 2015
cool, thanks guys.
@Julian Eisel (Severin) thanks and i tracked it down to system tab > gpu mipmap generation which even when using factory settings still produces the error if that option is toggled off.
Mar 17 2015
@Julian Eisel (Severin) i've just tested that .blend file with and without my custom startup.blend and userpref.blend and the error appears with the former, see the next two screencaps.
@Julian Eisel (Severin) this simple .blend file produced the same results as the .blend i screen capped previously.
@Julian Eisel (Severin) sure, i'll prepare one at some point this evening.
Feb 25 2015
@Sergey Sharybin (sergey) thanks very much for fixing the bug, blender seems to be working fine now.
Feb 23 2015
@Julian Eisel (Severin) understood and i'll keep that in mind, thanks.
@Julian Eisel (Severin) thanks for confirming this.

Dec 26 2014
thanks very much guys. i'll test the dev builds soon.
Dec 25 2014
cool, thanks sergey.
thanks sergey, i'm glad i could help.
i'm attempting to attach a cut down .blend file.
Dec 24 2014
hi sergey, i'll try to prepare a .blend file later tonight.
this image shows shadeless option working, the next image shows it not working.
Nov 3 2014
i can confirm it's working on win7. well done guys.
i haven't tested any of the recent builds, i'll download one now and report back.
@Antony Riakiotakis (psy-fi) that's good to hear, and will you let us know in this report when the fix is working?
Oct 10 2014
same here with the dpi settings.
@Bastien Montagne (mont29) as far as i'm aware my laptop's drivers are up to date.
Sep 5 2014
wow, that was quick. thanks guys.
Sep 4 2014
thanks very much, and understood mont.

@Bastien Montagne (mont29) understood, thanks for explaining.
@Bastien Montagne (mont29) thanks for looking into this.

May 24 2014
@Bastien Montagne (mont29) @Kévin Dietrich (kevindietrich) i just tested the latest win64 build and am very happy to report the pointer icons are both consistent, and using my win7 scheme icons, and not the ugly (i know that is subjective) short wide black arrows.
May 23 2014
thanks kevin for letting me know, i'll try tomorrows build.
hi mont, i've just tested the 90449f9 win64 build from today and the good news is the ui lists are now saving their heights,
mont, i do understand this is no longer considered a bug,
so the inconsistency was a bug as i suspected. thanks to kevin for confirming that.
thanks very much mont for fixing my first issue.
Apr 29 2014
understood, thanks sergey.
Apr 28 2014
hi sergey, cool and where in future should i post feedback like this? do you have a link?
Apr 26 2014
Mar 8 2014
cool, thanks. i have several custom shortcuts so that sounds straightforward enough.
@Bastien Montagne (mont29) understood, and i had wondered if it was due to my gfx chip, i'm using the latest official drivers, so i didn't think that was the cause.
Feb 15 2014
re the cursor depth having both a preference option and a toggle in the 3d cursor properties panel, could we also have a shortcut key mapped to it?
Feb 11 2014
cool. thanks brecht.
also happens with hsv in the color mixers.
Feb 2 2014
sorry guys, i just found the right click header option to collapse menus. so please ignore my previous post.
@Jonathan Williamson (carter2422) i'm using the win64 official 62a3fe2 build and the new button/icon for collapsing the 3d view's menus isn't always visible in my custom windows layouts, when the layers buttons etc are not visible, ie to the right of the window size, so i'm having to scroll the header to the left, each time i want to access those buttons, either that or go full screen.
Feb 1 2014
@Jonathan Williamson (carter2422) another thing you might want to do is add in a mouse hover highlight to the vertical tabs. in the win64 official 62a3fe2 build the tabs are not consistent with other blender ui elements like buttons, menus etc, in that they don't become brighter when the mouse is hovering over them. this could confuse some uses who expect the highlighting to indicate a ui element can be clicked on.
Jan 28 2014
@Brecht Van Lommel (brecht) understood, thanks.
@Sergey Sharybin (sergey) i think i found why the user preferences window doesn't always align with the top of the main blender window in the win64 official builds.
Jan 25 2014
@Sergey Sharybin (sergey) i just noticed the preference's window shifts vertical position each time i open it in fd0b104 so sometimes it is aligned with the top edge of blender's main window, and my win7 desktop, other times it's slightly lower by various amounts.
Jan 24 2014
@Sergey Sharybin (sergey) the user preference popup window is now positioned incorrectly on win64 build fd0b104
Jan 17 2014
@Sergey Sharybin (sergey) i just tested 5c74ac2win64 vc12 and both the 3d view transform and manipulator issues appear to be fixed.
Jan 15 2014
@Sergey Sharybin (sergey) yes, as of 5611fb6 win64, blender opens full screen in windows 7 when launched from the *.exe, i don't personally use cmd lines like the OP so can't give any feedback if that is fixed there as well.
