There are more of these issues btw, if this change is considered a good fix, I can do it in the other KX_* classes too.
This patch fixes this:
Jan 9 2015
Dec 29 2014
Updated patch to include documentation.
Dec 23 2014
Just the functionality in the patch. The clean-up of the code was submitted as separate patch (D954) and should be committed before this one.
I agree; working on two split patches now.

After using git bisect to find the bug-introducing commit, I found this one:
Dec 16 2014
PS: This is the code that runs in the BGE, just so you can look at it without downloading/opening the blend file:
Thanks for accepting the patch. Is there anything further I can/should do? Or is it just a matter of waiting until someone with commit access handles this?

I just figured out this doesn't just happen with logic bricks within one object. It also occurs when adding bricks to multiple objects. For example, when there are two cubes Cube and Cube.001, and this code is executed:
Dec 9 2014
Dec 4 2014
Fixed '&' and '*' style.

Good point, I'll update the patch to check that the (un)hidden NLA strip contains the current frame.
@Sergey Sharybin (sergey): The NC_ANIMATION notification was already in the Blender source. If I should change the NULL in that line to something else, that's fine, but it's a different issue than what I intended to fix with this patch.

Note that, because of this code in wm_event_system.c function wm_event_do_notifiers around line 290:
PS: Another way to solve this would be to let the 3D viewport listen to the NC_ANIMATION | ND_NLA | NA_EDITED notifications that are already being sent out. If that is preferred, please let me know and I'll send in another patch that does this.

PS: The lambda expression seems to be important to reproduce this bug. When using a regular function, Blender doesn't crash.
Jul 22 2014
PS it also fails on the latest version from build.blender.org: blender-2.71-2e43617-win32

Yep, the data can now be imported, so this bug is fixed!
@Daniel M. Basso (dmbasso): Awesome, thanks for everything!
