Looks like I can post here despite being closed, but windows fbx has a roughness value, so I wonder if there's a setting the viewer can interpret as roughness.

I noticed 2.82 still had problems when output is set to video file, images seem to render correctly, you can notice it clearly using false color @Evan Wilson (EAW) Not as much of a problem as long as we have image sequences rending correctly at good speed.

I found something interesting, when rendering video color management fails, but rendering something like exr or png outputs a correctly exposed image

I also noticed it happens when rotating or panning, and without any gizmo or overlay. Kind of a workaround, but when I use the theme Oddysey (On the call for content thread) is not as evident, I changed to the default theme and that's were I noticed this bug.

I found something!! Increasing the Anisotropic setting in preferences > viewport gets rid of this problem from longer distances. Not sure if it should still be considered a bug now...
