I've looked at the newest version and made some changes ( introduces a ProperyGroup for neater blend files). The basic functionality is ok and works fine, so I'm ok with the Merge.

auto run scripts may have popped up as i only tested your .blend & ran the script within from the text editor. but it seems to appear immediately when I open the file.
& yes thanks for clarify, indeed this is instant crash.
I had not turned on rotate around selection in the user preferences & it worked fine.
Turning on rotate around selection in the user preferences is instant crash with this script.

hi, I have no fail or crash here using nightly build.
I open your file, run the script, turn on drivers... then can use as expected.
why does this addon/blend file need the auto run drivers check?

after some testing there's some issue here, but not easily solvable. simply, this addon was not designed to work this way.
pressing F6 twice solves the issue.
Closing as archived but keeping in mind this is something to be aware of in 2.8 series.

closing as archived, simply too many issues here to resolve in any substantial way. The idea was sound, but the code needs total rewrite which is not possible & best left in the hands of the original authors.

I think here it's known that this happens, many 3rd party devs use a folder structure & single file init inside to prevent this issue, possibly a check could be added, not sure if this is overkill or not, 3rd party addons should follow blender guidelines & examples.
Closing as we will think further on this for 2.8.

hi, we do not support external addons in our bug tracker, please see vendor for issues.
however, in this case you have most likely installed the addon twice in different locations.
if you open the blender console it will have the paths to the duplicate addons listed, pick which one you need to delete.

"Many of the pie menus that are currently available are mostly a mess. While it should be totally allowed that users configure their own crazy pie menus, at least the ones that ship with Blender should be laid out well and be an actual improvement for fast workflows.
We’re working on a pie menu design guideline page that should be followed to ensure these qualities. "

Julian Eisel (Severin) lowered the priority of T50732: Viewport Pie menus update 2.79 from "Confirmed" to "Normal".

I don't think such changes should be done for 2.79 instead of 2.80. Especially stuff like changing shortcuts and design guidelines. From a user POV these may not be trivial.
Also, when changing guidelines we should make sure there's wide agreement and then do it once and for all (more or less). We must not change any guidelines, just to change them again after a few releases.

hi, it could be too much to implement this now, might be a better 2.8 target? we still have not updated the contrib addons to the first panel location as option changes, if we want to do this, it needs to be all or none.
I do agree with the change. i think also we could look at adding the base code into addons_utils.py so it's accessible by all addons & not on a per addon base.

hi, I've ported the Brush sections of this addon to create a new sculpt/paint brush mode menu.
raising priority to confirmed.
The new version has all the brush menus to one main menu & one hotkey. Alt/V for testing purpose but this seems ok.
It has been designed to replace the Viewport pie menu Sculpt brushes, as they don't really sit well & will be removed.
Current my dev version: (sorry pic includes custom brushes as I was testing)

That was a typo, I meant to say, change it to Z as "up", because Maya's default is Y. This is done to mimic our target environment, where Z is up.

"Please retest by setting Maya's up Axis to "Y" and changing export settings."

I tried reimporting the .fbx to Blender, and as you said, it works fine. Then I tried importing it into Sketchfab and also Unreal Engine and the animations all work fine in those as well.

Thing is, I can’t see anything wring when re-importing into Blender. So that could be an issue from Unity side too, did you try to re-import your FBX into Blender and see whether those glitches are visible?

Well look at that, you learn something new everyday. I completely missed the simplify function - that's exactly what was happening. I agree with you, when I looked at the source code it seemed pretty unlikely it was a precision error but ya never know sometimes.
