hi @Demeter Dzadik (Mets) Thanks for your interest, I ended up making some big changes to the editor switch pie.
Matched all icons correctly, matched the content of the editor switch header button, re-order the menus to represent better the order of the header button. This does Break Memory... mine too, but I think it's far better in the long term.
I like to think this is the final incarnation. Layout is clean and readable, usability is still high.

hi @Nathan Lovato (gdquest) good to see you again, It's worth mentioning you guys have been in blender.chat #vse and discussing the vse for some time. I think we could look at adding this if the vse team agree. Currently, as I'm sure your aware, the sequencer addons in Blender are broken. So I'm open to replacement from a known long term addons dev such as yourself and your addon.

Thank you for maintaining this addon. This morning when I was asking about area.type vs area.ui_type in blender.chat, I was actually about to "fix" the editor switch pie. But here you are, making a much more substantial fix!

By build do you mean re-downloading Blender completely. I am not a very techy person when it comes to coding so alot of this does not completely make sense to me but I am trying to follow along because I really love Blender and just want it working again.

when following the route from C:\ their is no such folder as AppData. So I have no idea what to do and when I went through Blender Foundation folder in the Program files folder. In the Addons folder their is no such file named types.py

Unfortunately the problem is still persisting, I am in the location you have given me for the types.py and it is not in that location. I had uninstalled and reinstalled one last time after you posted this, I don't know if that undid what you fixed.

It is plainly impossible to export any kind of node-based shading system into a fixed-pipeline thing like MTL or FBX formats suport. That’s just basic common sense. We can only offer some very limited approximation in some well-defined cases. Note that 2.7x did not export node-based materials at all.

If it is a(n undocumented) design choice, it is different from the design choice in 2.7 versions of Blender, which exported a usable .mtl . It also feels like an ill-advised design choice as it depends on a workaround outside of the program itself (manually adding the map_Kt line to the mtl in a text editor) to "remedy."

This is true, since the toolsystem always uses bpy.utils.system_resource('DATAFILES', "icons"), see _icon_value_from_icon_handle.

At scale of massive production we cannot afford strategy like "be more accurate and doublecheck what options are enabled".
It is also hard to check if model has accidentally got wrong automerging issue at that scale.

Aaaah okay. I wasn't aware that you couldn't have AutoGrab on and cancel without it AutoMerging.
I think that logically you could create a state in which cancelling AutoGrab would not AutoMerge...and even if it did, you could rip the vertex.

@Paul Kotelevets (1D_Inc) Where would Auto-Merge cause an issue on the creation of those examples? Saying that it would cause an issue on "complex models" without explaining why doesn't help.
I came across this bug while working on a complex model and found it inconvenient.

Thank you. This is exactly what I've been trying to get across. Inconsistent behavior from Auto-Merge on "Quad from Vertex" operation.
I think Paul was trying to explain that it's by design but couldn't come up with a use case in which Auto-Merge being blocked by the addon would actually result in a desired outcome.

hi, lowered priority,
There is an issue here possibly a bug or possibly just the way the addon works.
My test was a simple cube, delete 1 face, select 1 vert, use f2 addon to fill.


The last vert created is not connected to the cube. This effectively creating a double vert at same position.
This is with autograb either on or off, so nothing really to do with auto grab.
This is unexpected behavior as expected behavior in this case would be for the last vert to be joined.
I think what's possibly needed here would be an auto merge?
Using an edge with F2 addon to create the face works as expected, also traditional method of select non manifold then pressing F with F2 enabled also works as expected.
I'll run some more tests before looking at closing this task.

Paul, F2 at the very least treats merges differently at the quad from vertex level. The expected response from a user is that vertex-based fills will merge just like edge-based fills.
Being accustomed to that is not learning the software. It is becoming accustomed to an inconsistent behavior, which you still haven't managed to explain the professional benefits of. I've explained why it is not of benefit, and you agreed that it did not increase or decrease working time. Therefore, the benefit is that changing it would make it more intuitive, and would not hurt existing users in a meaningful way.
