With High Frame Rate (HFR) video becoming more and more ubiquitous (VR, HFR Cameras, 240Hz monitors, etc...).
I think it about time to update an ancient timecode system:
Could we please have a placeholder for the //hundredths// in the frame counter on the timecode?
It looks ugly and it doesn't say //I am ready for High Frame Rate//.
My suggestion is: If the frame rate is >99 frames per-second then have a hundredths place holder (00:00:00:**0**00).
`if FPS >99: ..098...099...100...101`
`if FPS <99: ...22....23....23....24`
Or have a user preference setting.
I'm not sure if the "frame counter" could do with a similar thing. But having said that the amount of place values decreases exponentially over time so it probably is not too much of an annoyance.
I do think it's a bit ridiculous to go beyond hundredths but thinking about it; knowing that blender gets used in so many areas that it wasn't natively designed for.... and blender can render 1200 Frames per-second so....
Someone who's got a non-sleep deprived brain can probably make a better call than I can right now.
