Thanks for the report. Please load default preferences and check again after enabling the add-on: {nav File > Defaults > Load Factory Settings}
Hi Patrik -
Did a "Load Factory Settings" and re-enabled "Object Carver" and after selecting the cube and ctl-alt-x the "Move object" thingy appears but no DIFFERENCE selector (as shown on the tutorial screen grab below). I'm a CAD expert but a Blender virgin - pretty skilled in computer stuff. Cheers bob

The add-on requires a single selected and active object of type mesh to work correctly, can you double check that this is the case for you?
Can you open the console and check if there are any errors printed once you execute the operator? Window > Toggle System Console.

It works even without selected object in create mode, so that should work... Also when I press Ctrl + Shift + X, I get no move gizmo. This should not happen with factory settings.
The files provided are not quite what was requested. Can you download alpha build from https://builder.blender.org/download/daily/, run file
blender_debug_log.cmdand test with factory defaults again? After you close Blender 2 files will be created. Please upload these files.Please cancel this inquiry. I have loaded the CAD SKETCHER add-on which works just fine AFIK on 3.2 and does what CARVER does and more.
