System Information
Operating system: Linux-6.0.8-arch1-1-x86_64-with-glibc2.36 64 Bits
Graphics card: AMD Radeon RX 570 Series (polaris10, LLVM 14.0.6, DRM 3.48, 6.0.8-arch1-1) AMD 4.6 (Core Profile) Mesa 22.2.3
Blender Version
Broken: version: 3.4.0 Beta, branch: master, commit date: 2022-11-10 19:49, hash:
b2000412f2
I have also testet Version 3.3.1 and it have the same error.
Short description of error
My Graphics Card Crashing, if i Render a huge number of instances with Eevee. RAM and VRAM looks normally to me.
Here is a Picture of my Screen:
And my System info:
system-info.txt
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
If i have a huge number of instances (Scale the Default Cube 2 times (for example) larger, apply the Scale (Strg+A) and add the "Distribute Points on Faces" Node and set the Density to 300. After that add a Instance on Points Node and a Icosphere (or something diffrent) Node. Press F12 to Render. After a moment the Graphics Card crashes and the Monitor looks like the Image in this Text. After a short time, the graphics card does not provide any image at all.
I hope the issue is reproducible and my English was understandable.
if you need any further informations, let it my know.

If you are still able to use the OS after the crash, can you attach the output of
sudo dmesg
?If you can't use the OS after the crash, can you reboot the computer, then attach the output of
sudo journalctl -b -1
?Here is the Output:

This is basically the same as #100353, #96408, #98907. Which is most likely an issue with the kernel driver itself. I encourage you to voice your experience in the upstream reports linked in the aforementioned tasks.
