System Information
Operating system: macOS-13.0.1-x86_64-i386-64bit 64 Bits
Graphics card: AMD Radeon Pro 5700 XT OpenGL Engine ATI Technologies Inc. 4.1 ATI-4.9.48

Blender Version
Broken: version: 3.5.0 Alpha, branch: master, commit date: 2022-11-24 21:14, hash: 851906744e

Short description of error
When in rendered 3dview and open a second window also in rendered 3d view, blender hangs for 20 sec. and then MacOS becomes unresponsive and finally crashes.
No way to 'force quit' or any other trick to stop blender. or the MacOS crash.
This happened now 5 times in a row, always when opening a second new window also in rendered 3dview.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Open blender 3.4 /3.5 in MacOS 13.01 & switch to rendered 3dview. Then after a minute open another rendered 3dview window.

Hi, thanks for the report. Which render engine you've been using for reproducing the crash?
Can you share crash logs (upload file itself): https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/dev/troubleshooting/crash.html#macos

I used cycles render engine.
I can't provide any log or report because as I stated "No way to 'force quit' or any other trick to stop blender. or the MacOS crash." (computer freezes)

Ok, thanks for the info. Do I need particular file to reproduce this or default scene is sufficient?
@iss, can you check in Mac?

No specific file needed.
I usually work for 10min. , enable the rendered 3d view and a min. later a second rendered 3d view.

@Michael-Jones we are able to confirm this issue with macOS 13.0.1 and AMD W6800X, with macOS becoming unresponsive. Is this something you could look into?

It sounds like a driver issue though could be triggered by something we are doing wrong.
