Short description of error
Some parts of my grease pencil animation are rendering black when they aren't supposed to be. Some lines and shapes have the proper vertex colours, and some others are rendered as fully black.

These errors have been persistent in other Blender 3.0 and above versions.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Rendering the animation
Circle and line shapes, and fill-based materials tend to suffer this error the most

Hi, thanks for the report. I got following output on rendering the animation. Couldn't really spot the issue there. Can you elaborate more what the issue is? Where exactly you've been seeing this?
Render output: F14088009

Hi there, this is my first time doing a bug report here so I'm hope I'm doing this right.

The issue I'm having is vertex colours aren't rendering properly and appearing fully black in render. When I go to render, the glitches seem to happen at the same spots each time despite the colours being set to the ones I want in material preview. The purple stickfigure is appearing as fully black before the red slash lines, and then appears as the right vertex colours when he goes to attack the other stickfigure. Even so, some vertex colours are appearing as they should, while's aren't (the grey circle is appearing as it should, but the body of the stickfigure is supposed to be that purple)

On my pc, my render is appearing as follows:

gp error render2075-2159.mp4

Here's another example of this error in action on a different render. The stickfigure is supposed to stay purple, but flickers black occasionally.

Here's the same result as shown by @PratikPB2123

Please double-check if the drivers are up to date and the hardware meets Blender's requirements: https://www.blender.org/download/requirements

To upgrade to the latest driver, see here for more information: https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/dev/troubleshooting/gpu/index.html

Also, please try the latest daily build: https://builder.blender.org/download/

Go to File → Defaults → Load Factory Settings and then load your file to see if you still can reproduce this issue.

If the problem persists, please give us more clear instructions on how to reproduce it from scratch.

Update: I found out my drivers were out of date and the problem is now fixed after I updated them

Thanks to those who helped me, those who did a sample render of my provided project helped pin point that the problem was on my end given everyone else's renders were turning up normal

Good to know that updating driver has solved the issue for you.
Will close this ticket. Thanks again for reporting :)
