Short description of error
Subdivision Modifier not showing generated edges in edit mode with Optimal Display set to off. Overlays/Opacity for Wireframe are both set to 1
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Default startup file. Select cube in Object Mode.
Hit Ctrl+3
Set Optimal Display to off in Subdivision Surface Modifier
Subdivision Surface 'On Cage' toggle can be set to on or off
Switch to Edit mode
Overlay Menu: Check Geometry -> Wireframe. Set Wireframe and Opacity both to 1
The generated edges are not shown
Preferences -> Viewport -> Subdivision -> GPU Subdivision set to on or off makes no difference
Tested with viewport shading set to wireframe and solid. No difference
attached : screenshot. Blender 3.3.3 on the left side, Blender 3.4.1 on the right side
