%%%I'm working with R45820.

There is some problem with meshes converted from text object, when using them as fluid control objects.
In the attached file, letter meshes in the left were converted in R44136 and everything woks ok. Meshes in the right were converted from text in R45820 and do not control the fluid.
Just bake 20 samples.

%%%Confirmed.

Did BMesh change anything on the convertion of text to mesh? %%%

%%%The problem is that the mesh has its normal pointing inside. However, when I create a Text object and convert it to a Mesh, the normals point in the right direction. We'd need to find the steps to create such a mesh with wrong normals to fix this, I couldn't find a setting that caused this yet.%%%

%%%Daniel, what's the name of this font? Can it be a clue to the issue?%%%

%%%As Brecht answered a while ago, the issue is in direction of normals which is fine when just converting text o mesh, so it's some kind of other step is involved here. And as it was mentioned month ago e need to know exact steps of reproducing the issue.
With current file you might just select all in edit mode and hit Ctrl-N to make normals pointing outside.

It was quite w while without activity from reporter here, so closing the report now. Will re-open if steps of reproducing the issue would be figured out.%%%
