%%%The H.264 (and other) output settings allow a maximum of 14000 kb/s. Can this limit be raised to something like 64000 kb/s?

I have some high resolution formats (1536x1536 and 2400x2400) that require higher bitrates.

Thanks!

%%%Thank you very much. Now I have a related feature request. (Not sure if this is the best place for it. Please let me know if you'd prefer to see a more formal request.)

I think it would be great if I could declare FFMPEG command-line settings from a field in Blender. A simple text field would be fine. If it showed and allowed editing on the commands generated by Blender's presets, that would be even better.

Right now, we're making frames for our scenes, we edit those into a show in the video sequence editor, then we output rames from that and encode with FFMPEG. It would be nice to eliminate the last frames step and go straight to FFMPEG.

For example, I'd like to see something like this:

FFMPEG Video Input: Sequence Editor Video
FFMPEG Audio Input: Sequence Editor Audio
FFMPEG Commands (User Editable): -vcodec mpeg2video -qmin 1 -qmax 3 -acodec libmp3lame
FFMPEG Output File Name (User Editable): myVideo.avi

(Can beer be shipped internationally?) :)%%%

%%%We did have a panel for "expert" options, it didn't work well and it was easy to mess things up there. Personally i'd prefer blender do only basic encoding (lossless for finals, some lossy for current previews and so) and do fancier encoding outside of blender. But that' my point, if there's somebody who'll be ready to implement this feature in a clear for users way and maintain it further i wouldn't be so much fussed :)%%%

%%%Thanks Sergey. I understand your point.

I took another look at frameserver after giving up on it a couple of years ago. I found the following and I'm finally starting to understand it:
http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Doc_talk:2.6/Manual/Render/Output/Frameserver

I'd like frameserver to be more accessible to less technical users. Maybe I can help by improving documentation or by making a tutorial after I get more familiar with it.

Thanks again,
Ron%%%

%%%Hello, when we're going to hit the next bitrate target? With 4k moving in the way and ever increasing streaming an storage capabilities.

Please allow at least the DNxHD 185 (185MB) be fully expressed as ffmpeg supports it since long time.

Take my example, I'm doing a university workshop with others students, we made a short film on Etna and now we are in the final steps of editing. In particular I had to remove rucksacks and unwanted feet from the footage, not that we're targeting high grade Hollywood production but the guys I'm working with know a deal about pipeline and proper way of doing things. For now we exchanged PNG sequences and transcoded prores and DNxHD footage for convenience reasons. But all of us would really enjoy pulling intermediate footage straight out from blender as it would really simplify all the mess we have now.

(another little question, are there plans to include prores to output options? as mac guys tend to say DN-what? when I mention DNxHD)

thank you :)%%%
