%%%The ability to change the Color Space of a Multi-Layered EXR file has been lost. I have a build of Tomato (svn 50503) where I can change the Color Space of these exr files. But the newer trunk builds no longer work. You can change the option, but the image remains unaffected.

This has become a major problem with composting Mutil-Layered exr files that come from other programs. Right now I'm compositing some LightWave renders that were rendered without color management, these renders show up too bright in the comp because of the Display transform Blender does. The solution had simply been to set the LW renders to sRGB in Blender's Image Window (which inverse-corrects the image, then it looks normal after the display transform).

Attached is a .blend with a normal RGBA exr as well as a Multi-Layered exr packed in. The exrs are also attached by themselves. I also attached the system-info.txt file from the latest trunk build I tried (50741).

In the .blend you can see that the Color Space option doesn't make any difference on the Multi-Layered image.

%%%Well, not sure why would you want to disable color manage on EXRs -- they should be in linear space by definition, so to view them properly on a sRGB display they need to be converted.

Anyway, fixed issues with missing color space transform and display buffer computation for non-RGBA files in svn rev50774.

Thanks for the report, closing it now.%%%
