Image sequence textures do not display in 3D viewport #33056

%%%When the image texture is set to "Single Image," the texture displays just fine in the 3D viewport.

When the image texture is set to "Image Sequence," it just displays black in "Material" display mode and grey in "Texture" display mode in the 3D viewport.

When the image texture is set to "Image Sequence," the sequence does not refresh in the cycles renderer, but does update when rendering a single frame.

%%%That's not supported for in the UI - mainly for speed reasons. (Alt+a would make it quite unusable). For the Game Engine someone added a special "video texture" support to make things more interactive. That's also not a simple system to use or copy for the UI.

Of course it could be checked and worked on by someone - but that's a todo item.

That's the setting the artists used all the time for matching and previews of footage.

Another update: if you set the viewport to glsl shading, the textures do update as well. It's the traditional texture drawing that doesn't... there's the known limitation.%%%
